Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

I think if it was meant to be suicide the writers would have been smart enough to add a gagging, gasping "thank you" between the gurgling blood. And the look on Shane's face didn't look like a "Yes, I just got what I wanted." type of face.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

So you're saying,
Shane never intended to shoot Rick, and that whole scene was played out for no reason? :lol

Is that what this was all about? Did we see another episode? :lol

Look, this show, despite everything, is a still a TV show. It's still meant for entertainment. It's not reality. James Bond did this crap all the time. Would you say the villains of Bond never intended to kill him? No...it's just, a writing plot. If they played it out in real life, then obviously Rick would be dead, and Shane would be alive, but would have to answer to Daryl, and all that stuff.

point is, this show is still fiction. And not just fiction, TV fiction. For everyone to see.

You have the main character. And the main character is immortal. Until the end. A

Why? They couldn't even make Dale talk despite the fact that his lungs and throat were still perfectly intact. :lol

Talking Dead's on. See you guys in 45. :wink1:

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

I see what you guys were saying, but I doubt that was the point of it.

It's just poor writing. Maybe they intended it, but they never did anything with it.

Well, when your throat and airway is filling with blood its hard to get things out. Just basing that off of talking with medical people I know if you want to base some of this on reality.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

I think Shane had every intention on killing Rick. He was having I guess a Rick moment and thinking about backing out of it. In the end Rick got him to let down his guard and Shaned Shane.

Yeah....no suicide....he was smiling taking Rick's gun from him thinking he was about to have his way. Not so much after.....he went out as a creep. I'll miss his character though...he brought a lot to the show
.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

I have to say that opening scene was awesome!:panic:
One of the best so far all series IMO!:yess:
The ending too...wow!:yess:
I can't wait for next week!:yess:

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Look. Shane is crazy. But as much as he thought he needed to kill Rick, he didn't want to. Rick was his best friend. They were almost like brothers. Shane was mulling over doing it the whole time. Rick stopped and called HIM out. The reason why Shane wanted Rick to draw, was so he could kill him without it being murder. Self Defense. But a really twisted version of self defense.

It's a classic hero/villain thing. The villain takes no pleasure in killing an unarmed man. He wants a fight. Shane has a conscience. It's a ____ed up one, but he has it. And to kill his best friend, he wanted to make it OK in his mind.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

So the actress who plays Maggie basically agrees with Voorhees and myself, so :moon. :lol

From what? His stomach wasn't torn out. It's basic biology. :lol

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Why the spoiler tags ?

Anyway it was just a sad scene for me personally. Rick seemed devastated. Come on though. The guy was a loose cannon and had to be put down as soon as he went into his dark place. Still kinda weird how after lori apoligized he just all of a sudden flipped out.

Might want to go watch it again then. There is enough internal damage going on there that it will back into the throat. He was choking on his own blood and wouldn't be able to get out words. Not to mention from just pure trauma alone he would have a difficult time getting words out.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

I think some people want a few hours of spoiler tags for the episode that just aired , thought it would make sense to me if they simply didn't come here if they haven't watched it...anyways,

Shane will be missed (by me at least).
