Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

Lori getting an Attitude with Rick was absolutely ridiculous. 1st she wants Shane to be dealt with since he's a "danger" to the group, then she's gets mad why?

She THOUGHT he was a danger until Rick stupidly announced that he was literally fueling Shane's fire so that he could have an excuse to kill him and just be done with him.

Lori obviously had remorse toward the burden Shane was under and approached him the previous episode to at least bury the hatchet so they could all move on. Then Rick announces that he's been willfully antagonizing him to the point where it was kill or be killed. That changed everything.

Rick really screwed everyone. If he hadn't brought Randal back there would have been no reason for gunshots to go off and draw the attention of the herd as they were passing by in the dark.

When did Rick antagonize Shane? I must have missed that. :dunno

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

The zombies were coming at the farm anyways......being out and seeing them early may have saved them.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

tyreese was married remember? his wife goes bonkers and let's herself get bit by the zombie they tie up outside
I still say that's the govenor's helicopter that crashes near the prison

We never see Tyreese's wife in the comic. It was crazy Carol who walks up and introduces herself to Mr. Chained-up Zombie.
In regards to the helicopter in the comics - I thought that is was a news chopper and the Governors men got there first. Didn't the Gov put the news-lady's head in his "head-quarium"?

Actually, that wasn't Rick, that was his son Carl who fired the shot. Looks like someone takes after his mother.:/

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

My favourite shot from the finale was the barn collapsing in flames in the background of the herd. Amazing that the AD pointed it out and they were able to organize the cameras and crew to get that shot...

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

My favorite shot was Maggie looking like she smelled a fart while Rick was serving the group.:rotfl

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

Bottom line: Shane was a ____. Rick just eliminated a problem. The folks on TWD sure are an ungrateful bunch. Lori is a manipulative siren who would do well to be without a throat to speak from, and Carol is just an idiot. At least the men on this show aren't a bunch of ungrateful idiots, hopefully Michonne adds another reasonable female to the ranks so that Andrea isn't stuck by herself in idiotville.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

As to the helicopter...

it was the news crew, and the Govenor's people had gotten to it first.

As to Michonne - she makes perfect sense. At this point, the people they meet aren't going to be wimps and wusses, they're going to be survivors who have learned how to deal with the issue. Some will have dealt better than others, but a character like Michonne (who has learned how to use them to her advantage to survive and is a bit nuts herself) is going to be the norm for the people that are left at this point.

And I'm not sure where anyone got the idea that Tyreese is T-Dog, other than the obvious 'black male'. They have absolutely nothing else in common. They may still have him fulfill some of the things that happened with Tyreese, but so much of that in the comics

involved his daughter and her boyfriend

that to me, T-Dog is his own unique character.

A few episodes back Shane and Rick were having a man to man conversation on the side of the road and instead of Rick empathizing with Shane he got in his face and exclaimed that Shane never loved Lori or Carl. That basically everything Shane thought he stood for, killed for, and was defending was a complete fabrication in Shane's mind.

Then last episode Shane approached Rick with concerns for Carl's mental well-being and actively tried to give Rick an opportunity to connect with and assist his own son but Rick again basically spit in his face.

At first I thought Rick was just being a flat-out idiot but then last night he revealed that he was doing that purposely (which was pretty idiotic to announce in and of itself.)

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

Do people still do that? How many comic book adaptations do we need to go through before people understand film/tv and comics are two different mediums.

My problem with it is the terrible writing. All the things you guys hate about Lori is due to poor writing, not intentional character flaws.

Yes, often. :lol

When did Rick antagonize Shane? I must have missed that. :dunno

He admitted to it to Lori after the lameassed "secret" was revealed. He also admitted it to the group by the campfire. He admitted to knowing he could stop the encounter between himself and Shane but didn't. He wanted to kill Shane, did so, and admitted it.

Well at least as far as last night was concerned, Rick was the idiot. How hard would it have been to simply state that he killed Shane in self defense and leave it at that? Everyone would have believed him instead of assuming that Rick was suddenly responsible for what they thought was Shane's singular descent into homicidal madness.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

Because he was tired of all the bull____? :dunno

Cast insights into Season 3:

Will Shane's death unite or fracture the group? Who's that cloaked stranger who saved Andrea? What's up with that massive prison? The Walking Dead Season 2 Finale poses many questions for Rick and his fellow survivors. In this new video, cast and crew address their hopes for what lies ahead. "This season leaves people at a point where they could fall off the edge or stay on," says Steven Yeun (Glenn). "It's bonkers." Melissa McBride (Carol) predicts more conflict "and lots and lots of zombies."

Check out this new video interview with Andrew Lincoln (Rick), Sarah Wayne Callies (Lori), Laurie Holden (Andrea), and Norman Reedus (Daryl) if you want a glimpse of what's next for The Walking Dead.

That's just for the people who only watch the show for the zombies. :wink1:

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

Rick needs a new love interest.. maybe Michonne cause Lori is a manipulative b*tch.. I cannot wait for Lori, Carol and T-Dawg to die. Those three are idiots and Carol and T-Dawg are useless with no backbone. I respect Daryl even more how he was standing up for Rick to Carol... This is just a thought not a spoiler, but I just have this feeling that Mertle with kill T-Dawg as revenge for leaving him up on the roof.
