I don't read the comics, but Michonne? Sounds like a bad Mexican chorizo joke.

Something about a katana wielding quasi-Jedi with pet zombies in tow doesn't jive with me on the show for some reason, too fanboy'ish I suppose.

Didn't like Lori since she got speared by Shane way back.

Andrea went from hated/whiney ______ to number 3 bad ass on the show.

All hail to the Ricktatorship!

michonne is bad ass #1, darryl doesn't exist yet & shane never did enough in the comic to even qualify

do they go to a prison in the comics too? As big as that place is, there's gotta be other people already there.

there's 3 inmates still locked in their cells when they get into the prison(one of them kills hershel's twin girls) & a ____ pot full of zombies locked in the rec room. tyreese single handly kills them all with nothing but a ballpeen hammer and his bare hands

God I hate Lori, how is she going to lay the seed to kill Shane a few episodes before and then get all righteous on Rick? I thought that knowing what happens with her and Judith would be sad on TV but at this point I'm almost cheering for it. I'm glad to see Michonne but wondering how it'll work out with Carol since there isn't a Tyreese although I guess they could add him as they get to the prison.

I will say this with Kirkman announcing the 8 page Michonne backstory in Playboy this month it was lock she'd show up.

I thought it was generally accepted that

T-Dog (poorly developed character though he is) is supposed to represent Tyreese?

Tyreese was traveling with his daughter and her boyfriend (he hooked up with Sophia's mom who's presented as much hotter in the comic-- Glenn even has his eyes on her before Tyreese shows up)...

I loved the helicopter at the beginning of the episode to tie it back to Season One...

This Michonne or whatever was the cheesiest thing I've ever seen on the Walking dead and frankly just about anywhere. The whole reveal, dramatic stance, hooded face in shadow... zombies on leashes... way to friggin' lame to take seriously. I fear the show will do downhill without Darabont there to keep the taste level up.

S2 was already a huge step down from S1 in terms of sophistication in terms of storytelling and characterization. I don't want to see this show reduced to something that belongs on the SciFy network.

Some things are better left in the comic. Don't let fanboys dictate what they want to see. They don't know what's good for them.

Why? That's not who was in it in the comic either. Wasn't it some unknown guys (government/military people perhaps? ) that the Governor's guys got to first and brought back to their camp?

it belongs to the governors camp. semantics I guess. without going back & finding it, I think the governor said that they took it while they were searching the city for supplies

I think it's funny that people are railing about Michonne and how it's a "jump the shark" moment when he appearance was as out of the book as you could get considering what has been changed. Why she has the sword, the zombies, etc will all be detailed and fits perfectly into this world.

As for T-Dog = Tyreese I just don't see it:

The Carol/Michonne/Tyreese angle just doesn't work with him especially given that if Carol and him start hooking up it'd seem out of nowhere. I still maintain they'll find Tyreese on their way to the actual prison somehow.

I thought the season finale was great from beginning to end and can't decide which was cooler - the arrival of Michonne or the closing shot of the prison looming in the distance. One thing I am sure of, is that I wouldn't mind seeing Lori and Carol get chained to trees and used as zombie-bait.
