Here's what I hope happens with Lori's character (EXTREME comic spoiler):

I hope they forward in time enough that she has the baby, stops being hormonal and starts to garner some sympathy from the audience. Have her keep doing things "right" and really get the audience to care for her again.... Then have her and the baby go out the same way they did in the comic. THAT would be a nice gut punch to those that don't know it's coming!

During the ultimate zombie farm invasion, she runs around distracting everyone with "where's Carl?!" while they are trying to do useful things like escape and kill zombies and stay alive. I would have stood up and applauded if Maggie (or anyone) had responded, "why the ____ don't YOU know?"

Yeah, that too. Definitely one of the highest points of the season was Andrea putting her in her place (which led to her being a _____ and trying to instigate ____ between Maggie and Andrea). The only thing that would've made that scene better would've been a chin check from Andrea.

Plus the fact that Robert Kirkman in one of his responses to fan letters which he includes in every issue of walking dead comics, said that he has no intention of concluding the comics yet...As an aside, there is enough storyline to cover 10 seasons easily. But the only problem is that the real life actors would be aging too fast for the comic storyline since Kirkman has stated that he does not like jumping forward in time too much. Maybe a time jump of a few days and weeks, but certainly not months and years.

The thing is also that Kirkman said that Rick Grimes would die eventually and the series would/could continue without him, so as the show's actors begin to age, I would imagine that if it goes that long the show's contingancies based on that would also kick in.

This would equal TWD's television death. They've tried this before.. i.e. The OFfice after Steve Carrel's departure... and it doesn't work. People attach themselves to the main character.
