They are her boyfriend and friend and yes they help keep the walkers at bay.

Figured it was kind of like the "guts" episode where their smell protected her, but it still feels forced to me. Seems like they would just bog her down.

I kind of figured that as well.

However, during the season finale, there's a scene where Rick, Carl, and Herschel make it to the rendezvous point. While debating if they should stay and wait or go back, they see a walker approach and were able to succesfully hide from it by walking around the car while it passed on the other side.
I mean, three fresh meat and the walker couldn't sense them in such close proximity.

Whatever, I'm enjoying the series and looking forward to next season.

I kind of figured that as well.

That makes sense. It's not that zombies can smell living flesh - you don't get super smell powers just because you're dead. However, it IS very easy to smell dead flesh, even with the nose you have now. The zombies see you, and if they CAN'T smell you, they know you're living. That's why the smell of the chained zombies, along with Michonne covering up her face, keeps zombies at bay and allows her to move freely.

I wonder if hot toys will ever get into television show based figures... This seems like a perfect show to start that trend.

Nah, it'd be overpriced and you'd likely get Rick and Andrea before their license ADD got the better of them.

I'd rather have SS do 1/6th TWD since I'd want more than just Rick and false hope.

After seeing the new Snake Eyes, I'm not sure that's any better than HT. They'll be way overpriced. But I don't see Image or McFarty letting the license go without something that'd be painfully overpriced. Maybe a company like Blitzway or ArtFigures will step up to the challenge. Hell, Shrunken Head Studios would be ____ing awesome!
