oh my god, this episode had me at the edge of my seat, literally,
I Loved everyone today, Every character was doing great, Carl was freaking Awesome!!!!!! Maggie, everyone was really though, that was really great.
I can't believe what happened at the end, that made me mad. I knew that zombie was going to do something but I'm pissed of who it was,
this episode was really really great,
I can't believe how intense this was. this episode alone felt more intense than some of the zombie movies that have come out of late, Like Resident Evil for example. This felt so fresh and "in your face"

Loved the season opener! Great action, great tension, great character work. We've really upped the ante from last season!
Also, I think Daryl made sure nobody would be getting any mail at Hogwarts this week!

I agree that season 2 sucked sometimes, in some episodes, but tonight is probably the best episode of the entire 3 seasons besides Episode 1 of season 1 and the last episode of season 2. I do not know which one of those 3 is the best but this episode tonight felt just as good as those, really great,

Great episode.
I'm loving the 180 Carl seems to be doing, in terms of being annoying.
But I guess when almost all you do in an episode is shoot zombies and attempt to eat dog food, you're going to be on my good side.

It was a good ep, but i didn't like the time jump. There's so much gold in seeing them survive in the winter, or a better michonne intro, or the relationship build up with her and andrea, or beth and carl beginning to take on greater roles, or Daryl and Carol beginning their relationship, or carol beginning to change her role. I know there are time and production restraints but as far as character stuff i think they left some stuff on the table.

I think part of that is we've had 3 years to care about some of these characters. And since we know literally nobody but Rick at this point is safe really adds to that tension. With a movie, you might get 2 hours to be introduced about a character and to care for them. Generally we don't care enough about them and can't wait for them to become zombie chow. Its different here because we do care about the characters at this point.

We watch the same show? There was plenty of character building. Rick is in full Tatorship mode and we get to see how that plays, Carl's surprisingly not as dumb as he was the last two seasons, we see Lori have the "queen bee" plucked off her ass, Maggie's becoming a UFC fighter, etc. Hell, even Rick going full Civil War surgeon was a character moment!

I feel zero sympathy for Lori. So not sure that's working. She needs to die and devilof will just have to have a good cry and get over it.

man, this was a pretty damn good season opener. action, tension, and gore aplenty!
i like how (mostly) everyone has become so adept at close-quarters combat. and of course, daryl is still the most badass in a group of badasses. while the rest use some weapon with at least a bit of length, this guy goes in CLOSE for the kills with a short knife.
lori still is useless and annoying though. pity the poor baby.

i was expecting
to see the governor's appearance in this episode. but no complaints that they chose to elaborate on the group's prison break-in instead. and the riot cop walkers were awesome!
