They really need to. I'm tired of him relying on supporting characters as a crutch. As I said earlier, at this point, they could kill him off and I doubt people would care in the long term. Initially there'd be some flack, but once people realized they've made him so useless, it really doesn't affect much except turning Carl into a stronger character.

He really is pathetic, and has been for most of the show. He's really not grown into a badass like the comic counterpart, and even that took time but you can see it gradually turn for the better in the comic as time went on.

Rick was a mess at this point in the comic book. More of a badass in the comic than the show, but still pretty pathetic.

If Daryl goes it has to be in the most bada** way or have him live into a spinoff series.
I think Rick, Abraham and Daryl can all coexist. Its to late for Tyrese I think.

The best way to take out Daryl would be for
Negan to bash his brains in when he arrives. It would instantly solidify Negan as a force to be reckoned with and instantly hated by fan girls everywhere!

As much as people like to thing Daryl is invincible, he's not. He is quite expendable. He's not in the comic and in the end will have no effect on the story's end game. Its Rick's story and through him, Carl's. Rick will probably die in the end to pass the torch on to Carl. If Carl dies at this point I'll be very impressed and shocked. Daryl could go at any time though - just like Merle.

It is my understanding that AMC controls this show and has to approve scripts. There's no way Daryl goes anytime soon since he's the show's cash cow at the moment. So soon the tides turn. I can go back in this thread a year or two back and it was all about badass Daryl, now he can't die soon enough. Unless they bring someone in to step up and fill their shoes, they just aren't going to get killed off. I certainly don't want to see the show centered around Glenn, or Carl or BOB!

I just wish this show was just inspired by the comic and not based on it so much.

No one is invincible but Daryl is a fan favorite by light years only way they kill him off is bc he moves from the show for another gig. Most viewers could care less about the comics. I know atleast a handful who only watch bc of Norman Reedus.
I dont think this show will go to far past the All out War story. It would be at season 6 or so by then. I feel like it will end passing the torch to Carl and then you make your own story about Carls journey.

Would there really be that many walkers? How long were they camped on that hill in season one before being driven out. Seems like you can't stay anywhere at all for more than 5 minutes in this show now.

And those guys on the tracks were the most incompetent ****ers we've seen on the show. Like 5 walkers at most, out in the open, seemingly nowhere that the walkers could even have taken them by surprise. And they all get killed.

hey, cap that spoiler, Mr. Buttmunch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! u sure ur a mod? :gah:

At this point in the comic, he'd already had dozens of good decisions under his belt and was suffering from infected stitches via a gut wound, not a sissy beatdown. :lol

:exactly:

That was probably the most embarrassed I've felt watching this show :lol

Comic Rick has one hand and has a bigger pair of bawz, and has gotten way more **** done than Farmer Rick. At least comic Rick thought the Governor would never find the Prison, but even when he did they prepared and had a backup plan with hightailing it out of there. Show Rick was all about crops and the gun garden :lol

What is this shows endgame?

I mean how many seasons can this go with no real ending in sight or a path towards an ending.

Comic wise how far are we, half way?
