Dibs on Daryl?:monkey3

Even though he's gay, nope. I forgot to mention that their overall incompetence was established when Rick and co. rescued Glen and Maggie, so Rick was well aware of it. Without the Governor or Martinez to lead them, they'd crumble. I also would've established a meeting point should the group get separated, either the farm, or the Sophia car. I also wouldn't have sworn off guns like a little libby ***** and taken up farming when there's a resident farmer to do the work. I'd have made certain that the prison was fortified at all times and that some type of early warning system, beit punji pits or something as simple as stringed cans, surrounded the outlying area around the fence was in place. There were so many things Rick could've and should've done to secure the prison, but he was too incompetent wallowing in his own self misery.

Ah, so that means you'd have no problem banging Andrea. :lol

Honestly, we joke about it, but I don't think I'd be banging anybody at that point.

Rick wasn't leading the group at the prison anymore. The council was. It was their responsibility to fortify the prison. Set up contingency plans and meeting points in case of an attack, etc. Rick only became the "leader" again when the Governor called him out to talk.

Like I said earlier, I think Rick has made his share of bad decisions so far. That is part of what I like about the show. The characters are flawed and screw up and we get to see how they handle the consequences. Of course these mistakes and screw ups have also served as painful lessons that will hopefully get Rick (and his group) on the path to being a better leader.

My first week at the camp and Lori, Andrea, Amy, and Carol would all be wondering why they missed having their cycle later that month. Don't even get me started with what would happen if I made it to Hershel's farm with the likes of Maggie and Beth walking around.

The only reason there was a council is because Rick was so obsessed with Lori dying that he couldn't lead anymore. But with the exception of Daryl, none of the group possess the midset to survive in that world. Hell, I bet most would fail at something as simple as making fire without an incendiary device, let alone grasp the concept of purifying water. Had I been Rick, things would've gone waaaaaaaaaaaay different. :lol

They are still writing the comic. Only 1/3 -1/6 the way through that story according to Kirkman (he has said anywhere from 300-600 issues). And they are only only about issue 53 right now on the show. So they've got another good 80 issues before catching up to this point. So season 8 or so there and by that time they'll still have another 60ish or more to catch up on from that point. The show will eventually catch up to the comic, but not nearly as soon as GoT will catch up to the books.

The horror of catching the books in GOT!

This was the same group that easily took out an entire camp of soldiers at the beginning of season 3 if I'm right? Inconsistent writing.

:lol Yup, Glen's crap writing. His blatant lack of research led to a National Guard group I think even pre-badass Carol could've taken out with a pointy stick. :lecture

I think Michonne's got what it takes to survive in this world more than Daryl. With them on their own, Michonne would outlive Daryl by a mile.

You were talking about the council leaders though, which is she wasn't one. But that's because she was out doing what needed doing - getting comic books and hunting down the Governor. While she had moved passed her need for revenge, she's smart enough to know that he needed to be taken out regardless. He was too dangerous to be left alive - whether it was for her group in the future or just any other group in general.

I honestly don't get all of the Daryl love. If I had to pick one person to be in a group with, I'd pick Michonne easily.

I wouldn't have picked Michonne at that point. Other than bringing formula and spilling some intel on the Governor, she hadn't done much to be trusted at that point.

Michonne seems too unstable, not social for me to side with her.
I actually have friends who are like Daryl, so I'd be in his group.

But none of this matters. We are, after all, talking about a zombie apocalypse. :lol

I agree i would pick to be with Daryl as well, Just because I could learn from him, talk, Learn to track.
Michonne spent 9 months with Andrea and never said anything...:lol

Oh I wouldn't be picking Michonne for her conversation skills, I'd be picking her for her sword wielding skills. :lol

And despite Michonne's muteness, she and Andrea did have a bond. She and Carl have a bond too. Wouldn't be surprised if she and Rick grow closer either now that they are just a group of 3.

Right now is really exciting for me as its pretty different from the comic now. Some characters from the comic that weren't alive by this point still are and some that are still alive, aren't anymore. So there will be some interesting changes coming through the rest of the season and I'm ecstatic to see how it all plays out.

I don't know how good Michonne is with food. Seems like Andrea and Michonne were struggling for food. She might be great with the sword but that don't feed you.
Daryl would be cooking squirrels and possums to eat :lol
I know if I went with Daryl I wouldn't be too hungry lol, in all honestly Daryl seems like a much better survivalist than Michonne, And besides the only thing you need to have the zombies leave you alone is to get two Walker pets, so her sword skills wouldn't even be that needed if you manage to get two pets.

Daryl would also be a carrier of some nasty *** diseases too like that ****ing pig. :lol

Michonne is the one to be with, she's immune to walkers.

And for all you two would've known, Michonne could've been like that Irish nutbag. If you put yourself in the mindset of the group at the prison, you literally know nothing about this bloody, katana-wielding crazy woman. :lol

True. I think running into her in the wild, you'd want to steer clear of her. I mean, who carries a sword with them these days? But once she was introduced to the group and found out to be OK, I think I would have tried to get on her good side then. Its always best to make friends with the biggest, toughest guy in the room - and that's her.

I'm not trying to say Daryl is absolutely worthless like Beth, but he wouldn't be my first bug out buddy. He's the second best choice by far though. He knows how to hunt, but he still proves to be clumsy around walkers as this last week proved. He's a dead shot every time, but once a walker gets too close to a living person, he loses his confidence in his aim. And then he forgets Beth took his knife and he has to really scramble to take the walker out. To live up to his hype, he would have shot the walker while it was attacking Beth. At least, that's what Jack Bauer would have done. :lol

Of course, I still can't explain what Michonne's problem was in the first episode this season where she just seemed to fall off her horse and twist her ankle without any reason for that and needed to be saved by Carl :dunno

So in a room full of people, you'd forego the badass you've known for over a year, for the blood-covered crazy chick with the katana and glaring eyes, that you don't know? :lol
