Just not loving this show like I used to. I dunno if its me or what.

I hear ya, I feel the same, with GOT coming back and TD finishing, TWD just seems to be the same old same old
Plus nothing gets accomplished week to week they are still essentially where they were 5 weeks ago

I agree it feels like all of this is filler, no real strong narrative or focus, too much jumping around to obvious fodder, no real threat from the zombies atm. They can take massive groups down no problemo. I just feel like this is the weakest the show has been since it's started, this back end of this season. All the commericials are making it worse because I'm sitting through them to get back to a story that hasn't grabbed me.

It does look like it will turn around now that Daryl is with the Hunters and the group is starting to reunite but hopefully it goes somewhere quick and shakes things up.

The Bob, Sasha and Maggie thing in particular felt like a waste of time, the way they all separated only to get back together at the end. What the....why? Why does the viewing audience need to be shown that? There wasn't anything more interesting they could have written for that group? And the silly stuff like Maggie sleeping on the ground out in the open, the way Maggie and Sasha got as close as they did to Bob on the tracks at the end without him noticing till they called his name. Were they deliberately sneaking up on him for a laugh? Daryl surely seeing the other guys coming, not running or hiding, and then futilely punching the leader to the ground while surrounded by armed men? What was the point of that? Bit late to resist now.

They are really hinting at Daryl biting the dust these last two episodes. I'd say it was too obvious for it to happen, but they've done it for Merle and Herschel most recently. So its not unheard of for them to build up a character before their death.

Any sense of foreshadowing with Daryl in the coffin? I can see him going out fighting the group with a bunch of arrows in his chest Boromir style

that plus Beth's words of "Being the last man standing" and "i wont need you anymore" seems like they are really hitting at that. It is too obvious now.

I think there would be a mass exodus of female fans if Daryl gets knocked off. I know women that only watch TWD because of him. Hopefully he'll at least get an epic death if/when it happens, though there are at least half a dozen characters that I'd like to see go first.

You could say that was more about her than him. She's the one gone now, and it's obvious that he does miss her......"You'll miss me when I'm gone...."

Then they won't be missed. If they are only watching it for him, they are watching for all the wrong reasons.

We really need a Red Wedding type episode IMO. Completely shocking and unexpected that will piss off a lot of people :lol

While I would love Game of Thrones style shocking episodes, this just isn't that. I don't get the feeling the writers have those kinds of aspirations (or really any -- beyond seeing another season). It's a very, very timid series, especially given the context of a zombie apocalypse.

That's why I love GoT and why TWD is losing my interest. There are a ton of scenes that blow me away in GoT. TWD has a lot of missed opportunities--not many scenes pack a punch.

Whilst he's a great character I'd quite like to see him bite the dust this season. Currently the show is far too safe and predictable. I hope the writers have written something decent for the season 4 finale. If it's just the groups meeting up at Terminus and being overrun by walkers again, it's nothing we haven't seen before.

Watched the latest episode last night. Enjoyed the expansion for Bob's character. Definite romance for Beth and Darryl. Will be sad if any of those three bite it by season's end, but possible.

Red wedding? :dunno

The flu was something we hadn't seen before and the masses whined about that for the measly three-four episodes it was a focus of. :lol

Red Wedding is a Game of Thrones reference. On a show with as many characters as GOT, it is a lot easier to kill off many of your "main" characters. I am enjoying WD as it is and dont need to have main character killed off on a regualr basis to enjoy it.

Just for confirmation...

is this Beths first song for Season 4 Pt2? I lose track

And yeah, I thought that was worth a spoiler, so ner!

I'm really not liking the tracks playing the episode out, and playing it in on this one as it happens... not sure where else to go with that. A fairly pointless opinion

But overall I like this episode, things started to move forward but Ij ust couldn't help thinking that this all could have been covered last week and it further highlighted how mundane that episode was

Also...

This group that Rick encountered and Daryl is with, anyone thing they are connected to the signs found on bodies in previous episodes? I also wonder if they are going to be a version of the Hunters from the comic who ate people, that grey haired chap says 'why hurt yourself when you can hurt others' or something like that, so they seem like a depraved bunch

I think they are the Hunters, or at least this shows version of them. I'm also not so sure Beth was kidnapped by them. The car had a cross in the rear window and it got me thinking it could be the priest they they come across in the comics. Who knows at this point.
