So, nobody has been scratched and turned. Thanks for confirming that.

Komodo dragons have septic saliva. If one bites you, you will get an infection that immediately enters your blood. If you get some spit in a scratch, the opening for delivery is much smaller. The volume of bacteria will be radically less. The odds of your immune system stopping it in its tracks are much higher.

And yes, drinking water from a well that has a corpse decomposing in it can make you sick. It could kill you, depending on your constitution, but it probably won't. It doesn't make zombie decomposition any more dangerous than that of a non-zombie. What kills you is the volume of bacteria entering your bloodstream. Maybe the guy in the prison would have got the fever. He had his shoulder practically torn off (hell of a 'scratch'). Not even close to getting a little in your mouth.

I have no idea what Dale has to do with anything. They didn't put him down because he'd turn (he would turn, because everyone's infected, but that's beside the point). They did it because he had his guts torn out and it hurt a lot.

Which is what gives the show its RL quality. :lecture

What about the Deer Daryl wanted to eat that the walker was eating first?

I always wondered about that deer, Wondered if cooking it really well would have made any difference.

I don't know what happened in this thread nor do I really care. I'll just drop in and say I actually really liked Sunday's episode. It was a great reintroduction to Bob, whom I honestly did not like up until this episode. He always looked shady but this episode really made me a fan of his. Way more interesting than the Daryl and lil blondie episode. Though, Darryl fighting his ay out of the funeral home was pretty intense.

Intense? Not really considering we all knew he was going to get out easily anyway.:D

Lol but i was still into it because I wanted to see HOW they'd get him out of that situation and if they could do so without it being too ridiculous. Which in all honesty I kind if think it was.

But im still waiting, hoping that a main character will bite the bullet and not just always be one of the newbies (Bob, Tyrese, the girl from the governors camp).

LOLS at the direction this thread is taking. Posting how unrealistic it is that people aren't getting infected from walker blood when the whole premise of the show is about the dead reanimating:rotfl. Here's some other things I would like the answers to. If Tony Stark has no special powers, how does he survive all the damage that Iron Man gets? Same for Bruce Wayne. How can Bruce Banners pants go through what they do and still stay in relatively good shape? Is it the elastic waste band?

The magic of stretch denim.........we woman have known of this superpower for years!

I thought it was, and everyone seems to think he'll be biting it soon and that no one is safe. I thought it was a great scene. Everything moved so fast. Much better than the walker scene with Maggie and Sasha.

Is there a jink on the name of someguy who was banned? I made post mentioning his unhallowed screen name and now my post is gone.

*poof!*

:horror

Whoever deleted my post obviously has no clue that I am "A Glorious Beacon of Light" and should therefore be aloud to say whatever I want.

*throws hissy fit at self in window*

Okay, **** this.

It seems like any critique, no matter how small, is meant with extreme hostility every time. Usually the same belittling like what happened to a-dev last night. I didn't even have a problem with the show until recently and always was singing praise about it. So whatever, I won't mention any gripes, this show is perfect. The best show on television. I'm out. *cues Tombstone goodbye gif*, *cues "I have a problem with the show and must have ADD even though the walker 'action' hasn't done anything for me recently and has become monotonous"*

Please point to the specific examples of extreme hostility. The only manner of extremism I see are the overreactions by those who want to nitpick the show to bits, unable to take it as a whole. Also, a "critique, no matter how small" is also defined as a nitpick. ;)
Some people are being way too touchy and quick to take on the mantle of victim at the first sign of conflict. Damn.
Reading down the rest of the tread, you're not the only one.
And maybe I haven't been paying attention, but I haven't seen the word troll used really, except by those claiming to be victims of such name-calling.

My real problem is with the nitpickers who have to make sure to find something wrong with every episode and MUST run to the internet to tell everyone. Somehow they never fail to be in front of their TV at 9pm Sunday.

However, anything else I disagree with should not be taken personally. That's kindy-garden stuff there. :) If you believe in what you're saying, your feelings shouldn't be hurt when someone else disagrees. Unless they make it a personal attack, which I don't believe I have.
I'm not one of those calling people ADD and children, except when it comes to the boys and their double-standard when it comes to female fans vs male fans. :D

All that said, does the season end with upbeat relief, or bloody conflict? :D

Wasn't one of the trapped inmates from the beginning of season 3 scratched on the shoulder? He didn't have time to turn, but Rick was ready to end him before machete-head stepped in and relished the opportunity.

I'm indifferent about the whole contamination aspect of the show. I do think a higher risk of infection adds more tension (28 Days Later), but I don't think it would work with TWD.

He wasn't scratched as I recall. He had a chunk of the back of his shoulder bitten off.
