They could have used that time to have a tag match for the championship as an opener instead of having Bryan job for Sheamus in 16 seconds. WWE seriously needs competition or they'll just keep churning out ____ like this.

Seriously? Someone would take Bogus over A-Train? Really?
The guy can't even memorize his own dance moves & that's the only thing he does anyway, besides the headbutt, exploder suplex & splash. Brodus Clay makes Bastion Booger look like Shelton Benjamin.

LOL

Yeah, I'm actually glad to see A-Train getting some recognition for all he's done in Japan. He was a joke in the WWE in the past, and I never cared for him then, but he looked like a genuine monster heel on Raw. WWE needs more of that than Kane.

I can't stand Brodus Clay, and wish WWE would fire him. Colt Cabana, one of the funniest wrestlers in history, never makes it on national TV before he gets cut by that company. But get a fat guy to dance around like a buffoon and he gets time at Wrestlemania and a huge push apparently. And the sad thing is, it is just typical behavior there. *sigh* Well, it could be worse. It could be TNA! :D

Have any of you guys went to a live wrestling event like Raw, Wrestlemania, Summerslam.,etc?
I've been to a Wrestlemania (in Houston), Royal Rumble (in New Orleans), a Slamboree PPV in the 1990s, a Nitro, an ECW PPV (can't remember which one), and various WWE, ECW, and independent house shows. I saw Mick Foley wrestle literally at a bingo hall post-WCW before he hit it big in ECW. I saw Bryan Danielson in the early 2000s in nowhereville Mississippi wrestling with a mask as "the American Dragon."

I just saw a Davey Boy Smith/Dynamite Kid match from 1981 on WWE 24/7, and didn't realize how scrawny Davey Boy was way back when.

About as drastic a physical change as the one Ric Flair made before he hit it big.

It's always exceptionally fun when you're at the end of the match, a camera pans your direction and some ____ing drunk, hillbilly ********* throws a sign up right in front of you, causing you to miss the pinfall. :monkey1

The two PPV's I went to was Wrestlemania 1996 in Anaheim, CA when HBK won the title from Hart and the Royal Rumble 1998 in San Jose. And I've always gone to numerous house shows and Raw shows of course but I prefer to spend my money on a Raw show obviously when they're in my area.

I personally think they should outlaw those F'N signs. Since it obscures the vision of other fans who pay their hard earned money. As it is those tickets aren't cheap.

I always wanted to go to a live WWF event when I was a kid in the 90s, but I never got to go. Closest I ever got was seeing Rob Van Dam at the local mall. Pretty lame.

Boston has had it's share of PPVs I've been to like WM 14, SummerSlam '06, Survivor Series '08, KOTR '00, Rumble '03 & '11. Quite a few Raw & SD shows mixed in too in Boston, Manchester, NH, and very rarely Portland, ME.

That's funny, but also a bit sad considering how it all ended up for Davey Boy. Steroids and pain killers are the source of most of the tragedy behind pro wrestling over the last couple of decades. You can only push your body so far with those things.

Steroids, alcohol, pain killers, cocaine and other recreational drugs. This industry has had its share of vices. Based on some of books I've read it's a wonder how any of them from the 70s and 80s are still alive.:ohbfrank:

Now you read about how the young guys are boring staying in hotel rooms playing video games. In the long run hopefully this generation won't be anything close to the last.

He showed charisma in small doses. Of course working a program with Eddie Guerrero which led to probably the best match of his career helped quite a bit.

He showed alot of charisma when he shoved that wheelchair down the steps with Zach Gowen on it. :rotfl

I'd rather have an uncharismatic athlete than a charismatic useless oaf like Bogus.

I don't see him as being all that "charismatic" either. It's a played-out gimmick. :huh

My main problem with Brock is you hand him a mic and he's got nothing, and unfortunately, in World Wrestling Entertainment, you need to have both. Brock's gonna wind up like Mark Henry as "that big dude" in years to come who people remember what he looked like and something like the failed shooting star, but won't remember his name. Hell, Hunter has horrible mic skills, but even his are better (though, admittedly, HBK was fundamental in HHH becoming anywhere close to what he is). :lol

In all my years of watching wrestling whenever a wrestler is labeled as the "world's strongest man" they usually land up being world's most boring man. Examples: Ted Arcidi, Bill Kazmaier, Jeep Swenson and of course Mark Henry to name a few.

In 5 years time, you'll be able to tuck Brock in there too. If he'd stayed in the UFC, he'd already be on that list. :lol
