You're tough on Brock Nam. At least he has a few good matches in his past. I can't name many Ted Arcidi classics.:lol

When the same distance separates Brock from a future fan, it'll be the same result. I really wanna like the guy because he's actually a wrestler, but he'd got nothing, and when he tries, he bombs even harder. :huh :lol

He did the same thing in UFC though, when he had a war of words against Velasquez. Instead of coming off as a decent heel (which he should've, given his WWE experience), he instead comes of as a racist bigot, "when I get done, I'm gonna go drink a Corona and eat a burrito just for your Hispanic heritage."

:lol @ the shooting star press. I know he's pulled it off in the past, but that one earned him a concussion. :lol
I think the problem was that Angle was way too far away. If he were closer to that corner of the ring, I think Brock could have pulled it off without a hitch.

Brock's gonna wind up like Mark Henry as "that big dude" in years to come who people remember what he looked like and something like the failed shooting star, but won't remember his name.
I'm not the biggest Lesnar fan (I usually rooted against him in his first time around for whatever reason), but I don't agree with this. He was a multiple time champion. He beat guys like Hogan, Kurt Angle, Undertaker, and the Rock. He was a legit champion on the order of a HHH or Cena. I agree that he wasn't masterful on the mike, but he was good enough considering his in-ring abilities.

Mark Henry is useless in the ring. His mike skills are probably on par with Lesnar--adequate, but nothing special. And Henry has the physical thing that McMahon et al. loves. But he couldn't wrestle a decent match to save his life. Lesnar could wrestle well, and that matters. Fans will respect you if you can work in the ring. Add in Lesnar's physical attributes, and you've got someone who has the potential to be one of the top 3 or 4 major players in the company for as long as he wants to stick around, even with average mike skills and charisma.

The answer to Brock's mic problems...

I remember going to a SmackDown/ECW taping a few years ago. It took about 20 minutes for them to do the set switch over. He had the crowd in the palm of his hand for the entire duration for something that wasn't even going to be used on TV.

In 5 years time, you'll be able to tuck Brock in there too. If he'd stayed in the UFC, he'd already be on that list. :lol

No man he definitely he is no where near the likes of Mark Henry or Ted Arcidi. I'm not the biggest Brock fan either since he comes off as a smug jerk who talked a lot of crap about the WWE especially after all they did for him, but he definitely can't be listed in the boring category like those other snooze fests. The guy is a great athlete and performer and I'll give him that.

Yeah, Heyman was one of the very best I've seen on the mike in the industry. It was a smart move to team them up originally, since Heyman was a master at hype. I also think Heyman was a good commentator, but he was such a jerk that I guess folks didn't really want to work with him.

Still boggles my mind how Taz has had a commentary gig for something like 10 years running now.

Looks like Lesnar thought he was in the UFC and bloodied John Cena's lip. I wonder if he did that on purpose since I heard they had bad blood in the past.

Not sure if you get it, but Raw gets a replay on Saturday nights here on the Universal Channel.

Raw wasn't great last night IMO. Mostly rehashed stuff like Punk getting beer poured on him by Jericho, Cena getting beat up and F5'd by Lesnar, Laurinaitis doing his usual schtick and bossing Teddy Long around, etc. The 3 Stooges were there, which really sucked.

Daniel Bryan only showed up to pull Lesnar and Cena apart at the beginning, which also sucked. I think WWE is trying its damndest to get fans to lose interest in Bryan, though there's no way that benefits them. I was listening to Wrestling Observer Live, and they said that based on impressions on the scene, fans were more supportive of Bryan last week than they were for either Rock or Brock Lesnar!

Their behavior now seems a case of the WWE being petty, essentially thinking--OK, if you don't want to cheer for the guy we want you to cheer for, and if you don't like how we handled that Wrestlemania match, then we'll just take the guy you do like off of TV, and when he does show up, we're gonna do our damndest to make you dislike him. He had no role on the last two Raws, and the only thing he did on Smackdown was break up with his girlfriend and call the fans "sheep" for cheering for him. Lame. WWE has ignored fan response for Cena for years, though. I guess there's no reason to change that now in their minds.

Yeah they just completely killed the Daniel Bryan momentum. I guess HHH didn't like the idea of his good buddy Sheamus getting booed and Bryan cheered.

I actually don't think they did (maybe slowed it down a bit), because I think the fans see through this. But they are sure trying!

I saw the WWE.com power rankings earlier today, and it is a complete joke, illustrative of the problem here. Bryan fell from 4th to 24th or something following Wrestlemania, but the Miz is ranked 10th somehow. Give me a break.

In all fairness though, Bryan needs to step up. For as long as he's been in the industry, he hasn't really created a character that's "awe" inspiring.

Looks like the Bella Twins are letting their WWE contracts expire on April 30th. Apparently they've given the WWE notice that they aren't renewing their current expiring contracts and they are already taking bookings through their agency...

Help me out here, I know that Punk & Cena have their own storylines to follow. But if Lauringitis is trying to bring back "legitimacy" to the WWE why would you sic Lesnar on Cena? Wouldn't it make more sense to make Lesnar go after the WWE title? Or perhaps have Lesnar curbstomp the epitomy of what's wrong with WWE by burying Bogus Clay, literally bury that fat waste of space alive.

They should get the title off Santino as well as entertaining as he is, he doesn't need it. He's way over with the fans. Give it to someone who could use it, some young up & comer. Remove the tag titles as well since it has lost all meaning, there is no tag division in the WWE.

Rant over. YES!
