People break their necks to be the first to create a thread.

And it annoys me because those guys don't bother returning to the thread to keep the first post up-to-date or to make the title conform to the other thread titles etc etc

You get 'official' Hot Toys threads with all the pics broken, or only some of the pics or where none of the official pics were ever posted in the first place *cough* Hot Toys Stormtrooper thread *cough*

:lol Was that a coincidence or were those two threads that you had in mind?

those are just the latest examples, but definitely part of a weird trend. I hope it stops, but if it keeps up I'm going to have to start a ZOMG thread.

Eh, it's just a reflection of how people speak. Or, to quote Maude, in the parlance of our times. But I have noticed the trend of it happening more often when people write something.

What I have a hard time not gnashing my teeth over is how so many people think the words sale and sell mean the exact same thing. More and more across the internet, where willful ignorance and poor education/lazy students are exposed regularly because the keyboard is their worst enemy, I read things like "Car For Sell" or "I'm going to sale my collection of panties I stold from the laundry room of my apartments."

Yes, stold was an intentional misspelling. :lol

What I hate lately is having to make sure I can get home to tap down the sprinkler heads in the grass that stay up, before the little rat bastard kids come by and kick them into the street.

People who don't know the word "complaint" exists and just use "complain" in it's place.

"There were lots of complains about this figure"

I can't believe so many people don't know how to talk.

It might have some ZOMG potential, more than my Reeve/Reeves one did anyway :lol That one was just too limited in its application.

Yep, those are defiantly very annoying. To bad people can't learn to type English properly.

dont forget those who dont use proper punctuation paragraphs merge into one long sentence I cant stand when people do that

I'm Also Not Very Fond Of The Capitalisation Of The First Letter Of Every Word In A Sentence. I've Seen It Twice On This Forum. What's With That? Not Only Is It Incorrect It Also At Least Doubles The Time It Takes To Type A Post. Not To Mention How Awkward It Is To Read.

You taught me that, thank you bud lol :lol

If only their was some way we could teach them proper English. Though maybe they'd prefer living in ignorance rather then facing the facts?

Gaspar does that a lot :lol.
I will slap the **** out of him next time I see that.

Another one I've noticed is the use of "of" instead of "have"...It's "Would/could/should have", not "Would/could/should of"...

I don't see this very often, but when I do, all I can do is facepalm.
I feel like the people who do that think it makes them look smarter/more sophisticated or something, when in fact it has the opposite effect. So annoying. :gah:

I think that above it all, what really shocks me is the prideful defense some of those lazy and ignorant goons display when those types of failings are pointed out to them. As if it's somehow wrong to be right, and we should just bow down and let the idiocracy have its way with us. :cuckoo:

This! They're used to hearing the contraction spoken and write it that way, but never paid attention in class to learn it properly, or bother to think through the meaning.

I definately hate it when people can't use correct grammar, and then they have complains about everything. They should of tried harder in school. Your only hurting urself by staying dumb. Morans.

If I'm ever caught making a spelling or grammatical mistake you won't hear me saying ''my bad''. That expression annoys the crap out of me. I blame Josh Wheldon for it.

Another is when people say "I seen this guy" or "I seen this movie."
And that's not online or just relegated to the back roads populations anymore, it's part of the national vernacular now. :(
Language is mutating to cater to the lazy and stupid.

They could probably care less about thinking through the meaning.

That's vandalism. I'd be bitching royally at that.

I do that and admit it. That's the way people talk around here.
