My grandfather used to do that. Let it grow long on both sides, used the left for the back half and the right for the front half. Scared the bajesus out of me one morning when I saw him going to the bathroom to get his teeth. He looked like the oldschool EC Crypt Keeper.

Yeah my uncle did it too. But he only grew out one side (the left) and flipped that all over. Looked straight up like Big Ernie McCracken in Kingpin when it got untangled from the wind. Almost like a distorted mullet; Business on the top, back and right sides but Par-tay JUST on the left.

A guy I work with used to do a comb-over, and he's every bit of 6' 2" and 325 (I think he said at one point he bench pressed 600 lbs). But he'd run those ball park franks he calls fingers through it to straighten it out, and I'd be like "Scott, seriously, it looks like you have horizontal corn rows when you do that". He shaved it after that.

That's the final phase. The driveway has had a stonewall for atleast 25 years and it's time to upgrade to uniform blocks. I'm taking the boulders from that to line the walkway out back. But first, I have to pull out the old cinderblocks doing that job presently, widen and level the path, fill it with the rock, and then set the flagstones.

It's gonna be awesome.
