They also had Lonnie Mack and one other bass player on Morrison Hotel. During Roadhouse Blues (one of the greatest songs ever) you can hear Morrison saying "do it Lonnie do it".

I always thought that was "honey" not "lonnie" given what he's singing about.

I also suspected Summer's Almost Gone had an upright bass track. I wonder...

Actually, there was a bassist on almost every track on the album.

(Exceptions were My Wild Love and Five to One. Spanish Caravan had acoustic bass.)

Yeah, those went by the wayside just like classic 70s Saturday morning cartoons.

At least I have the Boomerang channel so I can still watch "Ant and the Aardvark with my 3 year-old niece.

No Spongebob and Dora for her.
