I just discovered The Americans and watched both seasons in the past two weeks. It's a cracker, one of my all-time favourite TV series now. As far as political thrillers go it craps all over House of Cards and Homeland. Beautifully rendered and complex characters, nuanced performances, well developed story arcs, excellent pacing. Love it.

I just discovered The Americans and watched both seasons in the past two weeks. It's a cracker, one of my all-time favourite TV series now. Heck yeah! It's a brilliant show; the best thing I've seen on TV since 24. Elizabeth and Phillip are the kind of protagonists that I love to hate . I hope Stan will eventually catch on to them.

Poor Stan, he's had a rough few weeks Noah Emmerich plays it beautifully, he reminds me a little of Philipp Seymour-Hoffman in his performance for some reason.
