Neat! I can use something like that for free-hand sketches and diagrams.

How long does the plastic (or ink) last?

It basically works like a glue gun except it uses plastic strands that it melts. When the plastic comes out of the pen it quickly cools and hardens so you can build draw upward. How long each strand lasts depends on how thick you make your lines and how solid you make whatever it is you build. I think I got her a few 10-packs of plastic strands and she's still got quite a bit left.

It is. We have a few nesting pairs around us. Though we mostly have hawks.
