Finally got medical insurance after 4 years without. Got a check up and just went in for the results. Doctor said with dieting and exercise I've almost have my diabetes under control. No need for medicine as long as I keep it up. Gave me a low dose subscription for my blood pressure, it's 130/90. Just got to stay away from sugar and keep eating right. Feels good and encourages me to keep up with the diet.

Mr. Green got medical insurance now and 2 jobs before that. but the one before last was gonna make him end up in the hospital

WTG! That blood pressure isn't that bad. What is your A1c number if I may ask?

I don't know what A1c number is. They mailed me a copy of my results, but I'm at work. He did give me some low dose Cholesterol medicine, because of the diabetes. Generic Lipitor.

Does higher Cholesterol and diabetes go together?

Glad you're doing so well. I'm trying to be good these days, it's hard. I had been eating too much crap and I just wasn't feeling that great. I wasn't taking my vitamins either. I'm back on track with that and eating better. Feeling better because of it. :)

Yes, the Doctor told me diabetes affects clogging of the arteries. Lipitor is used to treat high cholesterol, and to lower the risk of stroke, heart attack, or other heart complications in people with type 2 diabetes, coronary heart disease, or other risk factors.

I feel better too now that I'm staying away from sugar, bread and starches. I have a sweet tooth and that's has always been my downfall. But really try this time. I started taking Swing Dance lesson, lol. Turns out an hour of East Coast Swing burns 450 calories. Been doing it since the beginning of November. I enjoy it.
