My ******* roommate ripped out the ones that were growing along my walkway. He thought they were weeds.

PBR and a need to make himself feel useful? I don't know what the exact excuse is. It was just dumb and I genuinely don't get how someone could be such a meathead.

I'm having a hard time keeping thistles from growing in the beds around my house. They've been awful the last couple of years. Pull them out, spray 'em. It's never ending.

Yea, its an issue of control in the garden. Mr. Green got this edible perennial plant that got strong roots and regrow every year. Problem is they tend to bully even grass and other plants. Sturdy thing tend to sucks water and nutrients and can take the heat fairly well too. Hard to grow basil. They grow so slow and seem to require a certain area clearance.
