I'll put it another way. I just posted an explicit challenge to the legitimacy of psychiatry, and the existence of morality: 2 things that are an intrinsic part of our society's foundation. If any of you were capable of defending either, wouldn't you be showing me how foolish I am by demonstrating them? You're not.

That's a problem. You live in a society shaped by irrational concepts. If someone makes fun of those concepts, it's art. You'd think the anger that subversive material provokes would result in a direct, coherent intellectual challenge. It doesn't. Instead, you get an emotional response from irrational dogmatic people who are quick to protest angrily, but not so ready to think. I find that interesting.

You're on a message board about comic books, statues and action figures.

Time and place

Troll me. :lol You seem to be like someone dying to tell people they have a Apple product or are vegan. No one cares what you believe in. I watched a bit of the video. Standard punk music with a drunk junkie singing scantly clothed. Nothing obscene, original or artistic about it. Just a attention whore. :dunno

Another soon to be flamed out member who can't figure out how to interact with people

No, I merely said that I like GG Allin, which is subjective. Then someone tried to sell me on Psychiatry. I'm not buying it. Then others tried to sell me on morality. I'm not buying that either. It's all nonsense, and I'm not passive. Are you trying to sell me on passivity? Again, you're using emotion instead of your brain. You're focusing on me being unlikable, instead of addressing my argument. I don't care about your feelings. Use your brain.

I'll repeat myself verbatim: You live in a society shaped by irrational concepts.

Responding with an "emoji" proves my point: "You get an emotional response from irrational dogmatic people who are quick to protest angrily, but not so ready to think."

Your attempt to intellectualize psychotic behavior tells me you are about 17 years old. I hope.

In psychology, intellectualization is a defense mechanism where reasoning is used to block confrontation with an unconscious conflict and its associated emotional stress – where thinking is used to avoid feeling. :rotfl Please tell me you're either a shrink, or a psychology major. You're wasting your life.

"Psychiatry is a pseudo-science because it pathologizes value. There's no such thing as an anti-authoritarian mental illness, like "Oppositional Defiance Disorder".

"Stop intellectualizing! You're just using reason instead of emotion! You subconsciously KNOW I'm right, but you're blocked with all that logic and reason!"

You seem very concerned that people should think you are articulate and super smart. Another clue as to your age, I think.

Value doesn't exist. There's no such thing as "special". Again, you're focusing on my emotional state instead of the coherence of my argument. Use your brain instead of wielding Ad Homs.

Um, I don’t think anyone is interested in getting into a serious discussion with someone who equates defecating in public and **** with “awesome”.

“Value doesn’t exist”.

Your whole position is based on your value of this losers “art” as being awesome, soooooo. :dunno

No, value doesn't exist. Desire is subjective, which means AWESOME is an emotional response, not an empirical observation. You could have asked whether I felt his awesomeness was an objective standard, or a matter of taste. Instead, you suggested I have a mental illness, then engaged in hate speech toward those poor mentally ill people. :lol You'll make a wonderful shrink. Please tell me you're a psych major.

Also, I didn't say that **** was awesome. I said that art involving **** can be (and in this case, is) awesome. There's a difference. Idealists have difficulty wrapping their heads around it, because they believe there's a spooky abstract blueprint demanding we behave one way or another.

I hate religion. I feel it's harmful. Regardless, I think that Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel ceiling is AWESOME. I can think both, because I'm not an irrational idealist.

I don’t have to state anything about your mental illness. You laid it bare for all to see.

How so? Shrinks used to say the same thing about homosexuality. Should they have had a burden of proof, or was it sufficient that a gay person's mental illness was laid out, bare for all to see? You subscribe to a pseudo-science. For someone so preoccupied with emotion, you should come to terms with that.
