:elefant Moore was gay. Too much camp. He delivered his lines with tongue firmly planted in cheek. Connery will ALWAYS be the best Bond.

Does anyone have any pics of the prototype headsculpt. I don't think I've seen it yet.

But, I'm in the Connery=Bond camp as well. The only thing I'm looking forward to is this one coming out seems to be gritty... and it could add something interesting to Bond, or just totally suck :lol

well... I see why criag wants them to improve it... that thing doesn't exactly capture criag...... it resembles him but makes him look like a gorilla...

do you guys see Luke in that sculpt? with the mouth opening and all??? criag has a stone cold look.... not another deer caught in the headlights look...

Well, he looks that ugly naturally so I say it's a very good likeness of him. :D

His tongue in cheek performances are what I liked most about Moore. Those movies were so preposteropus (both the Moore and Connery films) that they needed that touch of camp to keep them from seeming completely ridiculous, and Moore was great at giving that little wink and nod to the audience.

That was Connery in Never Say Never Again. ;)

No, that was Connery with every ounce of his old Bond character's charm and charisma drained away. God, that was an awful, awful movie.

The coat is riding up in that pic, but the sculpt definitely looks like him. Perhaps that's what he didn't like about it.

I like him as an actor - but you have to respect the role and the fans, and some things he's said seem to indicate he just sees it as another job.

Not to mention the way he presented himself at the press conference when he was introduced as the new Bond. First, he rides up in a speed boat ushered in by the British navy and he says it scared the sh** out of him and then he says he hates guns which is acceptable since a lot of actors object to them except for the fact that he plays a gun totting assassin with a license to kill and then he gives one word answers and less than enthusiastic responses to questions poised directly at him during the conference and comes off as a wimpy choice. I watched that entire press conference and was just completely embarassed for him. There were alot of other good candidates better suited to the role. Somebody said Jason Isaacs, he would have been great as would Gerard Butler and Clive Owen. Craig is so NOT Bond. I hope he's just another in-and-out Bond so we get a better choice next time around.

I remember back in 2002 Sideshow made no announcement of the Brosnan figure for DAD(not sure if the forum was running then?)he just appeared bang on time a couple of weeks before the film premiered.I used to get my Sideshow fix from Raving Toy Maniac in those days .Brant would drop by and people would ask him questions to which he d reply. My memories are that everybody just took it as read that because Sideshow had the licence a figure was a given, and so it came to pass, orange permatan and all!:lol
Agent 0028,theres a guy whos buying the Brant lookalike of the Endor Rebel troopers because he says it s exactly like him. He posted on action figures.com that it freaked him out as well!I d love it personally.

Will the SS exclusive Craig come with a body bag? :rotfl
i like peope like you, who have already made up their mind without actually seen the performance of the guy , what would make you happy, for him to talk in a scottish accent and to drive around in an invisible car, and to look like brad pitt.

Couldn't say it better myself.... that was all about the paycheck.

I'm excited about the new Bond... I'm actually watching a few select films from the series to get into the "Bond Mood" this month. Craig seems to be fine in the role... I just need to see more to see if he fits for me. :D

Anyone catch the custom Craig figure that was on ebay last week? Can't believe I didn't save a pic of it. The clothing wasn't that great (didn't fit the body to well), but the head sculpt was quite good (a closer resemblence than the current SS sculpt). I hope SS makes a Craig figure, so I can get a base figure out of it. If the head doesn't turn out so great I finally found a sculptor to do replacement heads for the sculpts I'm not happy with. Previews for CR look good, but I am easily entertained.

I'll be honest, I've never been a Bond fan. Not at all. The movies (with the exception of the Connery ones) don't hold any appeal to me, though I've seen a few.

However, I'm planning on going to see Casino Royale in theaters. Why? Because of the casting of Daniel Craig, and the hopes that it will be different than the previous films. I personally like the casting of Craig and think he could be a refreshing Bond. Bond needs to be reimagined, IMO.

If I like this film, I might purchase a Daniel Craig Bond - if one is released.
