I just wanted to drop in a quick clarification, that sculpt may or may not be a Sideshow sculpt. As I recall its from an article on MI-6.co.uk from a british newspaper or something claiming to be a sculpt that was leaked. Presumably its sideshow, but the paper didn't make that claim.

I always thought Connery did Never Say Never Again as a snub to Cubby Broccoli. And I agree that Craig does not seem to have an enthusiasm for Bond. It seems like I heard a negative quote from him about playing Bond, but I can't remember it now. Its one of the things I liked about Brosnan as Bond, he was a fan. I remember one time a director, I think Martin Campbell, said that he told Brosnan he wasn't too sure how Bond would react to this exact situation, so Brosnan punched the driver of the tank and straightened his tie.

If it wasn't a Sideshow sculpt then what was it? It looked like Craig, it was a 12" figure, and if it was just a custom then I think MI-6 would be a position to know that's what it was.

Someone had mentioned a resemblance to Luke. After closer examination of the photo, I can see how someone may have used the Luke headsculpt as a base to sculpt Craig's features onto it. The lips certainly look like Luke's. The receeding hairline, however, is much higher than Luke's shag bangs. Still, with an exacto blade and some putty it is not beyond the realm of making a customized Craig out of a Luke headsculpt. But if MI-6 had posted them it is likely they are privy to some inside information with an exclusive first look at the official Craig figure.

I'm not saying it wasn't a sideshow sculpt, I think it is, I was just pointing out that it is speculation. Besides if I recall the article wasn't an MI-6 article, it was an article from a newspaper that was put on their site. And British newspapers have gotten Bond info wrong before. An example off the top of my head is that a newspaper reported that Ewan McGregor was offered the role, but Martin Campbell says its not true and that he didn't even give the newspaper that quoted him saying that an interview. They can't both be right.

EDIT: I double checked on MI-6 just to make sure I'm accurate, I was kinda sorta, here's the links in case someone wants to read it for themselves. Maybe I've come to the wrong conclusion.

Well I for one sure as hell wouldn't take a sold-out SS Jedi Luke and turn him into a Craig figure regardless of my bias against him. Luke's worth more than Craig.

"Craig complains that his action figure looks too moody."

:rotfl :rotfl :rotfl :rotfl :rotfl :rotfl :rotfl

Wasn't that his whole intent to portray the character as a moodier, edgier Bond? What a moron.

The article didn't include the photo of the figure - that was exclusive to MI-6 I believe.

"An MI6 reader has submitted an alleged photo of what could be the action figure in question" is what the article said, so maybe someone from sideshow leaked it?
