The reason why I like 12" is because of the poseability. Statues never did it for me. They are frozen in one pose. Great detail but frozen.

Thats how I feel. I LOVE 1:6 figures for their pose ability!

I don't like statues much, and I only have one PF(Freddy) at the moment, with Jason and Leatherface on the way. I only plan on getting horror PFs because I am such a huge horror fan, but for the most part give me 1:6!

Man I have been thinking of doing the same thing for a while now. Then another good deal comes along on some 12" figs and I put off selling them.:lol :lol :lol

I just enjoy my 12" figs to much! I love to pose and futz with them all the time.

I love my PF Freddy, hes freakin awesome, but I havent touched him since he came out of the box. I didnt have to find a cool pose for him. I didnt have to futz with the costume. Nothin, just take him out of the box and put him somewhere, thats it.

I love getting to find that great pose, and get his cloths to lay just right. Thats just something PFs dont offer me.

Word.

There is plenty of room for both I think.

I will never give up 12"ers because they just offer me the fun aspect of collecting. Even though statues are awesome, they are stationary paper weights. (I still love them too though-just a little tough love)

So yes it's true, I make stupid sound effects and sing silly theme songs as I pose my little dolls but I love every second of it.

I would play with my PFs, but I dont know what sound a paper weight makes.

Every time I order and pull out a PF from it's shipping container my stomach starts turning and I hear the sound of a cash register... even when I look at my new acquisition minutes or even months later I can still hear the blood curdling screams of protest from my wallet. = sound of a paper weight.

I understand what you're going through Shai.

I also have started to sell most of my 1:6 figures and concentrate on PFs and statues. In fact, I've sold most of my collection to fellow Freaks here on the boards. I still buy a few "toys" but for the most part I've decided to change the direction of my collection.

There are still a few 1:6 lines that I plan on keeping like Star Wars, LOTR, my complete Uni Monster collection, and maybe the Dead. For the most part I've decided to only collect certain properties. It makes it much easier and cheaper in the long run.

"Once you go down the PF path, forever will it be your destiny. Consume you it will!"

Luckily, I have been able to afford both lines to enjoy the best of both worlds, simply because I have been picky and choosy. Unfortunately, it's getting harder and harder with each new release.

Do you what you have to do, as long as you are happy.

I don't think it's an issue of being able to afford both. I have a feeling Shai is starting to feel the same as I do. Having these PF figures, I just don't look at the 12"ers the same. They just don't hold my interest. Other than the Dead, I still like those very much and the Creature from the Black lagoon. But if we ever got a PF Creature, I would probably let my 12"ers go as well.

Dear God, man do you know what your are asking for :rotfl :lol

Sorry to hear you decided to abandon your 1/6 brethren. I guess tastes do change over time. But I love the 1/6 scale mostly since I like action figures and am not really into statues... even if they are bigger. I wish you luck in your transition Shai, but I do think you should at least keep 1 Jason Pt 3... even though you can always get more I think you'd miss him after awhile :monkey2

Yeah I agree 100%, 1/6 stuff are action figures, 1/4 are statues, I want action figures, not a statue, but hey to each his own, but I'm a 1/6 scale collector for life.

(hey shai, you have the creature from the Black Lagoon?)
