all this walking on egg shells is BS. If people take something light hearted to heart its their problem. Not the worlds

This story is a huge favorite amongst common people lately, almost every woman i've talked to recently has read it and wants in on that action. XD

Maybe it isn't such a bad thing though i hate how it was marketed to women and spread by word of mouth(probally at the office lol) but, nothing is worse then dating a prude.

I'm far from a prude but there's no way anyone is tying me up. I don't find it a turn on at all.

It must be that the women loving this haven't read nor seen very much sexy stuff. I found the writing pretty bad.

no mention at all of skin-tight form fitted spandex covered male superheros? If youre going to rant about sexism, at least do it equally.

I remember back when my wife and I were watching 300 she made a comment about all the "hot mens' bodies". ..... I back-handed that ***** and locked her back in her box in the basement..... Just because the've dropped the apostrophe from the original Mr's so its now Mrs. does not mean it doesn't still apply. :monkey1

:lol

Did you sleep with one eye open after you let her out?

I like looking at a nice male ***. I'm not ashamed to admit it!

i feel like you all missed the point. The point is why would someone want to create a Iron Man female to look like this because it looks ridiculous. If your going to create female versions of something why do they have to be in this kind of ridiculous costume. And its amazing how a lot of you guys think its cool.

So this thread further shows how immature people can be with this hobby posting other ridiculous female toys and figures doing offensive things. Pretty much the lowest of the low IMO.

Not all women are offended by this stuff and I dont think the point was to say 100% all women are offended because this stuff really more or less just laughable and immature behavior, but atleast you should understand why women would be offended. And very few of you seem to understand.

ok done!

We got the point. We just thought it was a lousy one. We also understand that oversensitive people might get offended at stupid stuff. We just don't care. I'm not the type that stops in my tracks whenever some bedwetter gets herself offended.

I don't recall anyone here thinking the figure was particularly "cool", though. I liked it better than the complaint ... but that's not a high bar.

I agree that grown men who paint doll nipples and photograph them naked envoke a Buffalo Bill vibe.

But StarPuffs constantly starting these sort of debates also screams she's way ugly and no man will touch her.

With so much idiocy, so little time, Deckard wins the thread.

To rephrase his post, I am correct, but that is all nullified by my (allegedly) being ugly.

Thank you, Deckard, for thoroughly and utterly demonstrating to the class what misogyny is and why my concerns are valid.

:clap

Star Puffs, I have to wonder"what were you thinking" when you started this thread. You've been around since '09, which means you should be aware of the personalities(and reactions) that you'd be dealing with. Unless, of course, you just like to argue...
I'd like to mention that my wife, the well known customizer Arianne02,has done several "sexy-skimpy outfit" figures over the course of her career, and I don't think presenting them as"objects" ever crossed her mind. She looks upon each figure as a creative challenge. She's also a graduate of Moore art college with a Master's in education. Beautiful, talented and officially over-educated...that's my girl...PS

That is a pretty nice custom.

:lecture:exactly:

I can't recall anyone in this thread state with any real sincerity that they think the figure shown in the pic is cool either. It is so obviously ridiculous that to present it as an example of 'everything wrong with this hobby' sounds shrill and haughty. I think StarPuffs has rightly taken some flak because her ire is misdirected. She serves up a lame custom to make a point. Of course it's easier - and lazier - to pick on the one smutty collector as being somehow representative of a perverse collecting culture while leaving the broader culture of image creation and dissemination in the comic books, sci-fi and fantasy genres alone. For example:

Brought to you by Marvel + Sideshow:

Perky butt with cheek-defining jeans? Check.

Huge ****s and cleavage? Check.

Exposed midriff? Check.

G-string riding up over hips? Check.

Bare feet? Check.

Washing Spidey's duds by hand in a bucket? Check.

If StarPuffs is expecting a significant portion of this board's members - the vast majority of whom it appears to me are not inherently sexist - to indulge this hissyfit she's obviously mistaken. The humourless and gormless manner in which she has debated the topic leaves herself wide open to sarcasm and ridicule - which she then has the temerity to infer as evidence of sexism and misogyny. It's a pity StarPuffs isn't as offended by willful ignorance and blinkered indignation as she is by slutty customs. She might then be able to to argue a decent case.
