I can't really pull off a review other than the fact that it has a "wow" factor that rivals Captain. If you're a Marvel fan, it's just about a must.

Then again, that's what people told me about Doom and I'm still not sold on that one. (Yes, I said it.) Then again, this is coming for a person who owns a Modern Thing PF.

Ahahahah thats how I think. I am a definite marvel fan and a moderate Thor fan. I am not sold on doom either lol. The real nitpick I have with thor is the pose is a bit unexciting for me. Plz post any opinions or etc on the statue.

Welcome to the club. There's not many of us.

Don't get me wrong. I think Doom is a beautifully done piece, but it's just not my style. On another note, I tried displaying a Red Skull PF EX in my office for a few days and just could do it, even next to my Captain EX. I had to box up Red Skull and sell him. I've vowed to only buy superhero PFs and NO villians from there on out. I gotta support the good fight.

Doom is excellent looking in its application but I think it's the sitting position that runis it for me...

Isculpt, no need to worry about Thor's position, it is stuck in a dynamic action pose just like Wolvey, Cap, Hulk, Thing and Iron Man.

Its Doom with his hands crossed almost falling asleep in his chair that is a little boring for me...they should've sculped slippers on his feet....

Don't get me wrong, he is indeed well detailed with awesome mixed media results....

Slippers would've added to the mixed media.

Well, Thor is HUGE! And towers over my other Marvel PF's. The detail of the base is beautifully done and surprisingly light weight too. Despite what complaints have been made about the cape not being cloth, I still like it. Overall, the piece is just so very detailed, down to the veins. In terms of detail compared to the other Marvel PFs, Thor takes the title in my book. The selling point is details, details, details. I'll admit I don't know much about Thor, other than a few story lines with the Avengers and a few run-ins with the Hulk, but am I glad I purchased it. I do own the EX. and happy I did get one, but honestly the Reg. is just as nice. The beard or non-bearded face doesn't really make or break this piece. You'll see what I mean once you get one.

I actually prefer the sculpted cape. I appreciate the painstaking stitch texture the Gore group put on it.

Fabrics great. No real complaints abouts tears or anything like that. In terms of hollow, I got to be honest with you. I can't remember. (I display him in my office, so he's not in front of me.) I'm pretty sure the base is hollow but Thor himself is solid, but don't quote me on that. Things are a blur this time of night.

Well, it's my "home" office/study. So I can get away with it.

I just walked in there and checked and actually I think both base and statue are hollow. I did the "flick" test too, and it sounds hollow.

He's about 18, the base isn't as heavy as everyone was probably expecting...

It's definately his pimp ladder as someone had previously mentioned...

He's definately reaching for the clouds that's for sure...

They should've sculpted arm pit hair...

and a second hand should've been a beer cup...

I was thinking that you all ready had yours but that was pics from another site or someone else in the very first post, LOL, it wouldn't make sense regardless sense the date was before they were even shipped!

Congrats bro he really is a great statue he just towers above the rest but at the same time makes your collection complete for the Marvel fans!
