It is a great story and Ribic's art is fantastic. Unfortunately, not all artists have that kind of talent. I've seen him using watercolors at NYCC. He is amazing.

Honestly probably my favorite Thor story arc, it was just so perfect and the art was absolutely gorgeous.

Planet Hulk is definitely my favorite. Second is Brubakers Cap run. But this Thor run was definitely top 5.

The best comic runs to date are based on the simplest ideas/stories.

The outcast against all odds, then there's conspiracy, and then the corruption.

I read it digitally via Marvel Unlimited subscription. If you read a lot of comics, that is the best way to go! 9.99 a month or 69.99 a year. Or you could just get that story line on comixology or something?

It's issue 1-what 12 I think of the marvel now thor.

i say best only in that you get more for your dollar....BUT to me there is nothing like holding a comic or trade in my hand as I read it.

Read this collection a month ago. I can't rightly say that I'm a fan of Thor, since I haven't been following his comics over the years. And from that perspective, let me proclaim how AWESOME the God Butcher story arc is! Phenomenal artwork and dialogue that every comic book reader - nay - ANYONE can enjoy.

I have not been following any comics for a long time, but I do consider myself a huge fan of the characters. I have invested stupid amounts of money into omnibus' and hardcovers over the last 3 years. The movies also turned me on to superhero comics. Before I just read the walking dead.

Comics are awesome! And so is god butcher!

yeah I have been considering an online subscription but I hate the idea of putting out the little guys. I have a great relationship with my local LCS, 15 plus years. I love the actual comics but I also have about 20 comic boxes in my cave. Im thinking of using the subscription for my "non essential" reads. Are you limited to what you can read, do you have to wait for the new issues.

It's like 6 months behind, but I'm fine with that. I've read over like 100 issues in the first month. No limitation. Plus you can download up to 12 to read offline, airplane usage!

Also, that's very admirable to stay true to your lcs. Wish I had a cool lcs like that. The guys at mine are lazy, don't know much of anything about comics. I constantly get "I don't know, what does it say online?" And that is for simple stuff like what date does this come out. They also have no statue selection. And my LCS is devoted to magic competitions! which I don't mind, but the employees don't help you if one is going on. Like they play and judge them so they close the store without physically closing the store. So all in all, I'm very jealous your lcs cares.
