but perfecting it :D

Far from it. :monkey3

The only thing IMO that makes the SS Thor better is the size. Bowen bearded sculpt is better but the shaven Thor looks better on the SS. Poses are about the same.

Remember though my opinion is comming from prototype pics on SS's site, which we all know will not look like the final product. :monkey3

I'm a bit surprised at the "fat" comment. He's built a little stockier than Cap but not as "fat" as Hulk. I would use the adjective "powerful," not "fat."

I will comment that the exclusive head doesn't really go with that costume. I seem to remember his costume changed a lot when he had that helmet and beard?

Also I'd have liked to have seen different materials. I love that the boots have the leather or cloth straps instead of being completely sculpted, but I would have preferred that they do a more real world approach to the outfit.

Thinking it through - why would he have metal discs on his tunic? Because they're part of armor and they should be integrated into the tunic in some way. And the tunic should be leather if it's part of armor. I would have preferred some other cloth for the leggings as well.

And I'm REALLY not a fan of the sculpted cape - we have sculpted capes all over the place for Thor - this is a PF and what would be cloth on the real thing should be cloth on the PF.

But - the sculpt and pose are fantastic, and he's one of the only decent Marvel characters - so I'm getting him.

But he def

Uh oh, all those in EU that were waiting for the newsletter, that eventually went to bed at 3:00 AM, only for it to go up at 3:30 or 4:00 AM (or whenever it was) are going to upset.

Karma, Iron Fingaz, quick, call your European brothers.

nope, they know the score & if i can do it, they can :D

besides, gives then something else to whine about as we europeans are whiners :lol

This will definately be an interesting figure to see how pre vs. post production pics turn out. Not to sound too negative, but I can see post production taking shortcuts on the costume (of which there's no room for ANY shortcuts as it is), and sway my decision on whether to keep.

And by costume, I mean his shirt, pants, and boots. If factory skimps on those, it won't be good.

ordered fat Thor when I saw the low quantity alert...:monkey3
