Kurse was full makeup and Idris Elba is cool.

I don't even mean race, she does not look like a Valkyrie, it's just another cast that's waaaaay worse than Gadot (which turned out to not even be bad at all) from the MCU.

Raceswap for all I care, but at least get an imposing woman that looks like a Valkyrie, although of course if would've been better to have a full nordic muscle babe, but then it'd be all "muh diversity".

Well Valkyrie is hardly top tier like Wonder Woman. All the heavy hitters of the MCU have been pretty spectacularly cast IMO. Nothing against Gadot though, I thought she was great.

But he was a black Dark Elf with white hair for a good chunk of character's screen time.

Jaimie Alexander doesn't look imposing to me but I'm ok with her Sif.

Sif is not a BBW like Valkyrie, JA is a great cast, in fact, I think it may be the best female cast in the MCU.

Edit: I just checked, she is just 1" difference.
