You dislike it for the reasons I liked it. Had it had that stuff in it zero chance I'd watch it.

And if you talk about source material, no idea. I knew nothing about the character going in so couldn't care less about source material. I just have less than zero interest in occultism.

Doctor Strange is hella occult though. Like I said, I was not expecting stuff like the 7 Princes of Hell or whatever, but something more than "ENERGY!". It was far too cosmic and not too supernatural for my tastes. I'm not a horror guy, but they really droped the ball on the world-building and the crafting of a different "tone" for the film.
