Kids today play with less and less toys as they are consumed and engaged with electronic devices... Ipod's, tablets, portable video games and home consoles, and whatever is next. Every generation looks for the stuff they had as kids. As time goes on, maybe we should invest in useless electronics as one day maybe they will become nostalgic and be worth big money. And they are rarer than any toy as most people broke them and threw them out in the trash, or some company bought them for recycling. Wonder if my all digital Toshiba portable cassette player is worth anything? Or my Portable CD player with anti-skip protection?? I have the original Iphone in perfect condition with the box and even the included charging stand. Maybe one day my kids can sell it for a ridiculous amount of money!!!
As a side note the only toys my son still plays with are lego's, but only because we enjoy building them together. And as far as rarity?? Every couple years Lego makes a newer, better version of the same Star Wars set. Look at the new UCS Snowspeeder at $199. Just re-released and nicer, while the previous one was selling for like $700 - $1000... So who's gonna buy that now? And the Millenium Falcon is rumored to be re-released as well. I feel bad for anyone that paid $2000 for a ship that's about to be outdated by a newer better one for $399.
The new falcon is rumored to be $799.99. Ouch
