So the 24 hours is up. Did we satisfy mistress Chicky? I'm not feeling any more soulish than I have since her reaper came and collected my soul.

Speaking of that, I don't know about you guys but two things freaked me out about that guy. 1. The way he drew out the "s" in soul when asking me to deposit it into that leather satchel made of human skin. 2. The toilet plunger on the seven foot pole he carried around. If that's the kind of thing he carries with him, I'm not sure I want my soul back now.

Help Provide Emergency Shelter for Evacuated Pets
Wednesday night, an unrelenting flash flood slammed Austin, forcing over 1,100 people and their animals out of their homes and trapping many others. The Austin Humane Society was called into action as a part of the City of Austin’s response to ensure that the animals affected by the disaster were safe and secure.
An AHS rescue team was on site in South Austin to support Animal Control Officers and Search and Rescue Teams, and transported the rescued animals back to the Austin Humane Society’s Emergency Pet Shelter.
AHS is housing and caring for all lost and displaced animals that were found in affected areas. Many of the animals have suffered from minor to major injuries and stress. Some of the animals, like Baby, were rushed straight to an emergency care clinic for the specialized, around-the-clock care they needed for injuries they sustained in the floods. At this time we are caring for 59 displaced animals, including dogs, cats, and rabbits, and we need your help.
We need donations to ensure that we can keep the doors of our Emergency Pet Shelter open for as long as it is takes for these frightened animals to be reunited with their owners and to make sure we have the funds to provide them with the medical care they need.

so because of people that never win, there's people that do win. get it?
