MR: :bow Thanks alot for that link. I have been wondering how best to keep my Padmé maquette free from dust...now I have the answer. Once I get this room of mine decorated I will invest some money into getting individual cases for these pieces. :wave

Re: re

My pleasure. :)

So, if I understand correctly, both the exclusive and regular Luke 1/4 statue's are going to ship the week of the 11th (barring any unforseen circumstances of course)?

Re: re

One of those Lukes is probably mine.

I canceled mine also. I don't have the exclusive comming like some but I just can't afford Luke at the time.:(

There's just too much coming from SS and others right now so I had to cancel something and unfortunetly Luke was it.

I'll try to pick one up off ebay if all else fails later on.

:skull

Re: re

I don't think you'll have any problem picking one up on ebay when they all ship.
At this rate you might be able to pick one up below retail.:mwaha :|

Re: re

I'm thinking of selling the Exclusive Luke and keeping the Regular. I've got the regular on order for $225 shipped, so the Exclusive may just pay for most of the regular. I'm going to wait until I have them in person to decide.

Re: re

Well I got a 5 - 7 day notice on Luke, says they will authorize card within 24 hours. Guess they got it back on schedule. This seems to be more in line with the original notice instead of the 1 week delay notice. :banana

Of course this may make it harder on anyone wanting to see the SDCC exclusive before the regular shipped in order to see which one to keep.

re

Personally I think the binoculars in hand is a small issue - remove the hat and poncho and it's basically the same. I can live with it (if I manage to get one...).

Once the uber-super-duper-lacious, better than ever before with knobs on 30th anniversary DVD boxset hits the shelves in 2007 we'll all be able to see the deleted scenes. My guess is the exclusive will become even more desirable (and displayable) then...

Re: re

The exclusive Luke is not, and will not, be ANH Luke, so technically it is not the preferred representation of Luke. The regular version, as you say, is what we're accustomed to.

My biggest thing with the regular version was how his right hand looked. It just looks awkward. SO I prefer the exclusive because it sounds like it will actually look better. But if I wasnt getting the exclusive I would still get Luke.

Re: re

So might have this before SDCC - that's cool! Or it could ship while I'm away...:(

Re: re

Luke is shipping now!! People are reporting that they have received their tracking #'s. I can't wait until Bob gets these so that I can get mine.

Re: re

Yep, my card was authorized today and I just got tracking number for my regular edition Luke. :banana

Re: re

You lucky bastages! ;) I should have never cancelled my original order. Now, I have to wait since I jumped on the second chance offer. I'm sure it'll be worth it though. I look forward to seeing pics. :)

Re: re

I got my shipping notice, looks like it will be here next Tuesday. Can't wait.

I think he is awesome. He was my very first Premium Format figure from Sideshow. I picked him up at Comic Con last year and carried the box around with me all day long--it was a real labor of love.

I was a little nervous about opening him up since I had seen some pictures that made him look like he was wearing dark eye shadow. Thankfully, mine was just fine. The paint job was great, and I think the likeness is amazing. His clothes are just a little dirty like they should be, and the whole thing really looks like Luke stepped off the screen and onto my shelf.

The base is also great--nice size, weight, and texture. In my opinion, he got the Star Wars 1/4 scale line off to a magnificent start, and considering how easy it has been to find him at a significantly reduced price I would recommend him to anyone who is interested and loves the character.

I am one who loves the pose and version chosen. Other would like to see a Jedi Luke, but I think that this piece captures a very iconic and representative moment from the classic film and shrinks it down so you can put it on your shelf. Assuming you get a good paint job like I did, this could easily be a favorite piece for many Star Wars collectors. I know it's a favorite of mine.

By the way, while I have the exclusive version, I have settled on displaying him without the poncho and hat.

Are you talking about regular edition or Comic Con Exclusive with poncho?

The regular edition can be had for a great price on ebay, if I had the extra space and cash, I'd be there.

I like the option of having the poncho and hat/goggles for a little extra. i love the pose and was thinking about putting myself on the wait list for the exclusive. i will not buy from ebay because i don't trust getting what i pay for and what if something is wrong with it? i'd rather pay full price and know what i'm getting or know it will be corrected or my money back.

I understand, better to get from Sideshow. But the Wait list for Poncho Luke is rough, I was on the wait list for something like 6 months and nothing. I think it is gone... however, I see him on ebay every now and then and it is cheap. So far, the Star Wars PF line is not like Sideshow Weta LOTR. No huge explosion in value, in fact, ebay is less.

And... speaking of wait lists, someone said anyone can pretty much get a Star Wars PF figure because many people cancel. It is true! I went on the Wait list for Vader SSE 2 weeks ago, it is sitting in front of me now. The only wait lists I think are impossible are Poncho Luke and Solo SSE.

i put myself on the wait list on 2/15 and on 2/16 it was turned into an order. that was for the vader pf excl. not complaining though and i don't care about the value because i'll never sell them. but it is nice to see the value go up.

The PF Luke is my least fave of the line so far. I just wasn't that jazzed about it when I saw it at SDCC last summer. It's not a bad piece but just wasn't one that made me say I want it.
