New paint job looks phenomenal. Really brings out the likeness.

I hope this long wait between announcements means that we are closer to the production run than we were with Tyrion. Don't mind the wait, but paying 100% upfront AND waiting makes you want to see these come through a little quicker.

Can't wait to see this, Rob and Jon all together in my collection...I guess you can toss Reek in there too :wink1:

If we get a Hound that looks this good, I'll be pretty damn happy. Ned Stark, the Hound, Jaime Lannister and an Arya to pair with the Hound are what I want.

The sculpt went from hideous to horrible .....

I think I'm kinda surprised by how impressed peeps are with it.

The price + how the rest looks, still makes this a want for me, but only because there might be a chance of a custom sculpt offered later on. The Tyrion sculpt isn't super accurate, but I think it's way more impressive than this.

Gotta agree. Several markers indicate that the sculpt didn't change at all, just a different paint job. The new paint job looks a little better, but paint can't fix everything.

And I'm surprised how someone could say it looks horrible. While I'm sure there's always room for improvement, I really don't think it could get that much better. :huh

Totally agree.

I'm sure there are lots of folks with more discerning eyes than mine, but I thought this looked pretty darn good. What are the specific problems with the sculpt? I know the eyebrows were off, but that seems to have been fixed with the new paint job. To my eye, the likeness looks like it's on par with Hot Toys. I guess I'm just not seeing what others are seeing.

Exactly what I thought. And for $160 shipped, this looks pretty damn great.

Totally agree.

I agree, I'm not sure what the rest of you are seeing but this sculpt seems almost up to par with Hot Toys. The only problem I'm really seeing now is that he looks a bit thin without the cloak, but that's not to big of an issue to me anyway, as I'll display him with the cloak on.

I didn't want Ned initially, and after seeing the first teaser it was an instant pass. The new paint up has me rethinking things, if the production piece looks that good for 160 it'd be very hard to pass on.

I have no prior purchasing experience with this company, how close to prototypes do their production pieces land?

I will get this I think. The new sculpt looks pretty great from most angles. Few look a little off, but Sean Bean doesn't have the easiest face to replicate. I don't think I've ever seen a figure or statue of him that looks quite right.

Agreed on the bean likeness being harder to capture

I'm 100% in for it. The head looks good enough

I really am baffled. I was thinking maybe because of the price, peeps were being lenient towards it, but perhaps that is not the case. It seems the majority posting in here genuinely feel the sculpt is really good. I can be somewhat lenient towards a character I really want in my collection, whose figure really could use a lot more work, as well, but I guess I do draw the line somewhere.

3Zero might not be the best at getting the likeness as good as other toy companies, but licensed GoT figures at this price is pretty cool.
