Pretty sure they don't need to borrow money. They aren't a struggling start-up. The company is financially sound, hence the big license acquisitions lately. Those aren't free.
3Zero has been well established making their own stuff for years & producing all of the 3A product.

C'mon Pix - it's you that's starting to get a little over the top here. You seem unwilling to allow anyone the right to discuss the negative aspects of the current situation, only the positive, and are using the "you don't know the internal workings of the company so you have no right to an opinion' defense. I hate to break it to you, but the future of companies is decided every day by people making critical decisions based on only what they know from the outside - it's called Wall Street.

People can certainly discuss whether they think ThreeZero is taking on too much, not producing fast enough, spreading themselves too thin, or any other aspect from the information they have. Things would get pretty boring if all they had to discuss for months was "wow, isn't Tyrion great!", and "I wonder what the next Walking Dead figure will be?"

... Anyone else upset about Tyrion's hands? I know Eakins sanded and painted some for a client. I'm having Rahmier try it sometime this month or next.

Despite my temptation by the 2 turtles that are up now, i am holding off and hoping Jon Snow is the next pre-order.

They can be improved, without question and I'm sure Jake's work will make them shine. On the shelf however, they don't bother me enough to change anything up right this minute. Maybe once the display is further along with other characters, some background and proper lighting.

Disagree. The whole point of the Code of Conduct is to make the whole forum a more pleasant place to be. If people have nothing to say but complain about how slow things are, it would be better to just not say anything at all.

This isn't the "disparage Threezero" thread and I'm pretty tired of listening to all the negative Nancies in the peanut gallery. Everyone should have opinions, but airing negative off-topic laundry isn't necessarily going to be welcome, so if getting called out on it is too much, think twice before posting it.

What's been happening here isn't discussion, it's a few people posturing and deriding a third party, primarily for their perceived lack of action on a license that also falls outside the scope of this thread. And I'll gladly sacrifice all my responses to this nonsense if the entire subject can be wiped by a mod.

Apparently its plenty welcome, as you are the only one here telling anyone to stop. What we have been doing is exactly what a discussion is, and we have every right to carry on unless a mod says otherwise.

If this kind of discussion does not interest you; well then there are hundreds of other threads on this board where you can direct your energy.

Actually businesses borrow money at all stages of their existence. In fact a rapidly expanding, but successful business, is one of the most likely entities to be borrowing anew, because net income can seldom cover the immediate cash flow needs of expansion, say...costly licenses, yet their past success makes people willing to loan them money.

I'm not claiming I have some definitive insight, but based on experience as a professional in this area, and their actual pattern of sales and product development (that I can discern), I am concerned. I want them to succeed very badly for the sake of GoT if nothing else, but Hot Toys having legitimate competition is good too.

Bro you're a huge debber downer. Page 44 I was posting pictures of my wants and longshots (all due respect to hate for stupid longshot want posts but when people include pictures you should be able to stifle it) and you wouldn't let up on it. I LOVE that you defend threezero every chance you get but you're negative as heck try and pretend you're arguing with someone you see, you'll be more accurate and polite.

There is a difference between aggressive, offensive conduct and simply questioning a companies handling of their product. I get that this isn't the thread for Walking Dead discussion, but threads veer off topic all the time - it is part of encouraging discussion. Still, this is the Game of Thrones discussion thread, not the All Hail Glorious Threezero thread. As long as the discussion doesn't become disrespectful (and it certainly doesn't seem like it has) than I don't see the problem. You could argue Pixels aggressive debunking of every point of criticism to be the most unsettling thing here - it is stifling any kind of discussion save praise.

I get it, I hate the excessive cynicism in this hobby sometimes - and I frequent the Custom section, which is 10 times worse than anything here. It still doesn't mean that people should be attacked for having a negative opinion.

But is threezeros output THAT slow other than the Walking Dead? I've only been paying attention to GoT, and despite what I've heard others say, I don't think its that bad. At least with that particular line. Some times people act ridiculous about these things.

The object of the Code of Conduct isn't to eliminate any questioning of a manufacturer, but to keep any such discussion to civilized level. Certainly as fans we're allowed to question how a company operates, and if they participate in the forum they may give us some insight. We learned from a previous comment that The Walking Dead may be moving slower because the term of the deal is longer and there is no time imperative to produce by a certain date, unlike some of the other licenses.

But one thing that people seem to be forgetting - there must be a much more vast infrastructure at threezero than most would think, since they also support 3A, which seems to release a figure a week.

So let's get this thread slightly back on track, eh? I just ordered Tyrion from Entertainment Earth; here we go. One of two down. Ned is my other want from the line, and then I'll cut it off. I hate to say it but this is a series that you can slip down the rabbit hole way too easy with.

Keeping that focus is very hard, I have had to do that with my LOTR collecting to keep to core 'Must haves'. GOT has so many memorable characters but there are only a handful at the moment I would say are important or core. Good luck with your plan and hope you find Tyrion lives up to the hype as I have :wink1:

Haha, thank you; hope so too. Gandalf is the only one I'm really sold on or particularly care about. I want to be very specific with my 1/6th collection. I so far only have The Mechanic Tony Stark, a near finished John Wick custom, and now Tyrion. I would rather sample my interests than go all out and get a bunch of one specific theme.
