Great to see this is official. One of my favorite shows going. But tackling this sucker with such a large cast is gonna be a challenge. My short (and by no means complete) list would be:

Starks-Ned, Robb, Sansa, Arya (Jon Snow)
Lannisters--Tywin, Jaime, Cersei, Tyrion
Baratheons -- Robert, Joffrey, Stannis
Targeryen--Daenerys, Viserys

Others (Thus far)-Varys, Hound, Grand Master, White Walker, Briane, Jorah, Khal Drago, Ygritte

Hope this line really takes off.

I can definitely see Tyrion there. Can't get a good looks at Ned.

Anyone see this? Looks nothing like Sean Bean but it's a valiant effort. Looks more like Robert in Winterfell garb.

The show is amazing. I'd like everything to be better though in theory. You do realize it's based on books though right?

The visual appearance of the show is not limited by the books any more then the story is. Liberties are taken with both in order to make the show work better on TV. They just didn't try hard enough to make the costumes interesting IMO.

The visual appearance of the show is not limited by the books any more then the story is. Liberties are taken with both in order to make the show work better on TV. They just didn't try hard enough to make the costumes interesting IMO.

I think the costumes fit the story and the world GRRM created. They did a bang up job. Something like the Elf armor or other stuff from LOTR just wouldn't have worked for the show.

Now, you might actually like some of the armor they talk about in the book. Especially Roberts and Rhaegars armor during the rebellion. Something more akin to LOTR.

The beauty for me with this line is if the likeness are off, you can just chalk it up to being a book version of the character

I am extremely happy with this, I used to collect a variety of things now I solely collect Marvel Hot Toys. However recently I wanted something GoT and was considering the Dark Horse figures, then I found out about Funko's Legacy line... but they were all a way off so I settled on Pop! Vinyls by Funko, whilst they look a bit odd it's nice to have such a wide range of characters already!

Now seeing this I may actually buy these, depending on how good they are. I am very excited, hoping we see something soon!

Funny... Game of Thrones have been nominated for the "Outstanding Costumes in a Series" Emmy EVERY year they have been on the air... and they have WON that award for the last two years running.

So I guess we will just have to agree to disagree.

As from the news of this license... winter is coming... to my wallet.

Game of thrones is one of my favorite shows but there's really no main character so there's no must have figure. I can't really decide who I will get... maybe Ned but he wasn't even there for a full season. I think I will need to get 4-5 for my display to make any sense.

Yep, I don't know that he's the most likely since it's yet another body type - but Joffrey is definitely in my top 5. And since they are tackling Tyrion, they obviously aren't afraid of one-off body types.

Joffrey is a great villain because he's such a little ****. Like one of those old time villains that talk a lot of **** but run when trouble starts. I thoroughly hate him. So he's a great villain.
