Re: Thundercats 1/4 Scale Mixed Media Statues by Popcultureshock?

I really hope Mumm-Ra comes in less than $399. I really don't want to pay that amount for him. I'm good with $349 or less for him.

:goodpost: :exactly: I'm in total agreement, IronLungs.

I'm not really liking mumm-ra. I have lion-o on order, but I think I'll be sticking to the thundercats

Same here. I don't want to be paying more for my Thundercat PFs than my other PFs.

You got your wish. Both versions come under $399.99.

The EX comes with the Sword of Plundarr AND light up eyes and chest symbol for $374.99. The reg is $349.99.

I like the Mumm-ra better than the Lion-O personally. That looks spot on compared to the old cartoon and the base looks great as well.

Steep prices on these pieces though....

Gonna have to pass on them for those prices and hold out for probably just Panthro.

I agree. Mumm-ra looks better, IMO.

Re: Thundercats 1/4 Scale Mixed Media Statues by Popcultureshock?

I too agree with you guys. The Mumm-Ra representation perfectly matches the character design. He looks like he walked right out of the cartoon, Lion-O not so much.

Re: Thundercats 1/4 Scale Mixed Media Statues by Popcultureshock?

Holy canoli!

I flipped out when I saw this earlier today! I am just in shock at how well Mumm Ra turned out, it looks like he literally walked right out of the cartoon and into real life! I wish I had the same feeling about Lion-O, I wanted to like the entire line, but why go for a cartoon likeness of Mumm Ra, but a more realistic Lion-O, the furry body and all, plus the jammies are not accurate.

Regardless, I'll be getting my PO in this week!

Re: Thundercats 1/4 Scale Mixed Media Statues by Popcultureshock?

Mumm-Ra is way better looking than Lion-O. I think I may just have him in the collection.

Re: Thundercats 1/4 Scale Mixed Media Statues by Popcultureshock?

Now I'm hoping that they have him on display at SDCC this year like Lion-O. Price point is decent but besides Mumm-Ra who were the other villains to the Thundercats?

Re: Thundercats 1/4 Scale Mixed Media Statues by Popcultureshock?

Nevermind I found a picture of them. I just don't remember the name of any of them...any help???

Slythe, Jackel-Man, Monkeyian and I think Vulcher-man.

Re: Thundercats 1/4 Scale Mixed Media Statues by Popcultureshock?

Your spelling is off, but you have the right idea :lol

Using the toy names as my guide:
S-s-slithe, Jackalman, Monkian and Vultureman. They were referred to as the mutants.

I know GB. :rotfl I actually named all of them from memory. :pfft::monkey3:lol

These pieces look awesome IMO but I'm not so sure the Thundercats franchise deserve the PF treatment, in 1/4 scale. Too expensive.

I could be wrong but I think a smaller scale, and therefore lower prices, would have raised more interest in this line.

I'm guessing those won't get made. Would love to see them do Slithe though...he was always my favorite mutey!

It might have helped me with supporting the line. I like the idea of them in a PF format but space and cost for all the pieces you would need for a complete line is :cuckoo: I can't wait to see someone do it though! :clap

I've recently decided to sell some of my pieces and focus mainly/ solely on 1/6. The continued rise in price for a figure and this lines price of entry (which originally I was planning on ALL of them) has priced me out of purchasing any of them but maybe a Panthro.

Oh man, I dread the day they show him and Cheetara. The Cheetara I might be able to pass on, the Panthro :slap. I don't care how odd it looks to just have Panthro in my collection...I want a POP statue (love their work!) and I can't wait to see what they do with him.

I think 1/4 PF is the definitive version for any avid fan.

Hard Hero has had their resin pieces coming out for some time now and they have not been that successful in obtaining a following although they are true to the cartoon in almost all ways.

I think it is a matter of taste. Everyone will never be happy. :dunno

To be honest I actually like lion-o more then Mumm-ra. Wasn't gonna pre-order him but I knew I would regret it. So I just place my order. I'm surprise it hasn't sold out yet.
