I don't know if I spelled that correctly or if slang of that type even has a correct spelling to begin with. lol
 
Wow. I feel way young here, as almost all of the words or phrases mentioned here are used in every day speech around me. Somehow I always end up surrounded with people who use colloquialisms really frequently--of course, that's very normal in Southern California, and amongst all my friends up here who are from there. I rarely use slang, but I always know the latest words and phrases if only because all my friends use them.

Most of the words identified here have been in common use for at least a few years, and are now fairly common. No word mentioned so far is newer than even the past two years--except maybe kabuki.

I'm old and I use them all the time too. (Well, not "rad" and "wicked" as they are truly ancient. "Bogus" too. I can't seem to outgrow "dude". It's a SoCal thang.) But "mad" and "bad" as in "good" and some of the others.

I miss the 80's. The good ol' days when Michael Jackson had a nose and wasn't a pedophile... those were rad times.

Dude is used by me all the time. Dude is making a comeback have you seen the bud or miller light commercials.
