I think they wanted to cover all of their bases by making things unsafe EVERYWHERE.
"No escape" is the feeling I get from the trailers.... robots underwater, in the air, and many on the ground. You can't try to hide because a giant headless terminator will kidnap you, and you can't run because the moto terminators and HK will chase you down. If you try to fight, you have to face the HKs and Endos.

I do think it's overkill by having the T600,700, essentially a prototype T800 AND Marcus all in one movie. However, their reason for doing this could be to get them out of the way in order to introduce Future War battles with the T1000 and T-X's in the other movies.

btw-moto is the general term used for motorcycles (look it up)
Furthermore, SkyNet is software, so killing all the terminators in the world and destroying the SkyNet "mainframe" still wouldn't work. You'd have to shoot down all the satellites in orbit and find and destroy every bit of technology able to connect to the internet. It's not impossible, but that should keep the human race busy for quite some time.

The new Terminator movies will be to the Terminator franchise what the prequels were to the Star Wars franchise.

They will have shining moments but largely be dissapointments to older fans.

So how many T-somethings are there in this movie? T-600, T-700, T-RIP, T-giganto, T-bag... hell, there may even be a T-McG.

So who's the real villain in T:Salvation? Marcus has already been blown in the commercials. T-800, then T-1000, then T-X... so now what? An array of robots for merchandizing is going to get T-dious in the movie.

T-houghts?

:lol T-Diddy

I didn't mean to offend anyone, it's just that people have Google at their disposal, but insist on asking others for proof.

Ya know, typing "moto" into Google isn't really as specific as you think it is. With the primary links going to Motorola, with the next most consistent being restaurants/cafes, there's no mention of motorcycles until three-quarters of the way down the page.

When did you get to attend an advanced screening?! :huh :p

Apparently there's going to be an item of clothing in the movie that is really a Terminator....

I think it's a T-shirt 101! :lol

also there is a meat product that is a Robot as well.. the T-Bone Steak 500

We all know the real enemy is Skynet, the Terminators/Hk's are just the ground pounders.

I'd like to get a glimpse of how skynet interprets events in this movie (and in it's past attempts) to stop Connor & the human race. Because, after all it was right, the humans are trying to destroy "it". Skynet is a sentient being of sorts, it would be interesting to see how it reacts to defeat despite it's formidable assets.

How that would relate to film is another story altogether.

My point is...you did find it didn't you?
This also proves my point of people wanting everything handed to them. What? It must have only taken you a few seconds to find what I was talking about and yet you complain.

I'm not attacking you in any way, so I hope I don't comeback to find some sort of a flame war; however, your post is a good example of what I was talking about earlier.

Moto is a very known term for motorcycle ... once you get passed all of the marketing advertisements.

"MotoX" a.k.a Moto-Cross, Jet-Moto, Moto Grand Prix, etc

Help -- I smell Matrix 3!

That's probably the most accurate assessment of the future.

I don't know why you're making such a huge deal about it.

Huge deal? It's just one thread. Just curious what other people thought, what comments or opinions might be shared, while poking a little fun at the whole T-thing. It's all part of the hype and excitement for the movie really, which despite this thread I'm still excited about.

All it proves is nothing. How are they to know what meaning you intended? My point was that there are several definitions for the term "moto" and not just motorcycles. Hell, you even countered your own point by including a different definition other than motorcycles (jet-moto), in your own post! :lol Expecting people to instantly recognize your POV rather than take a second to expand your point would've been the best route. Instead, you're whining about someone who is unable to do the Vulcan Mindmelt with you. Your point would be better served if this were an extreme sports forum and not a forum for toys/collectibles and a thread about Sci-Fi robots. :lol

Hhhh...
It's not my responsibility to educate people.
If people don't understand something, IMO, it's reasonable to assume that they will research it. If someone can't keep up, that's not my problem. I'm not going to put everything in their laps and don't expect them to see my POV. But just like you did earlier.... the info is out there for those who want to find it. In addition, this whole thing started because someone didn't understand why they called the new motorcycle terminators..... "moto-terminaotrs".
I don't imagine things can get anymore clear.

BTW, here's a pic of Jet-Moto.
JetMoto2_Preview.png

Sure looks like a motorcycle to me.
Now I know you're gonna say something like, "But it doesn't have wheels"...

And rather than take the half a second to post "they're the motorcycle terminators," you posted a smartass remark and then started whining when people called you on the peniality of your post. Where would you be in life if you didn't ask questions? I have a philosophy. There's no such thing as a stupid question, only stupid people who hinder the answers.

Whatever "Mr. Knight in shining armor". :lecture
It's people like you who enable laziness and stupidity.
Obviously there's no reasoning with you. Post what you want, I'm done. :peace
