Ok, this is harder than I thought. I deleted my previous one, so here we go again:

1) Moon Knight: Easily one of the best, yet most underappreciated characters in comics. The fact that some people sign him off as a Batman copy is idiotic, since apart from the fact that they're both vigilantes, they share no other traits. The reason why he's my top character is a combination of his bad-ass costume, his excellent comics from the 80s and the fact that he's always in his own little corner of the MU. Plus, he's the underdog and who doesn't love a good underdog story?

2) The Doctor: The Doctor from Doctor Who is a really unique character and is a combination of all the things I enjoy in a fictional creation. He's an optimist, a genius and a swell guy all around, yet, he still has major flaws but manages to overcome them. Plus, the show always helped me cope with the difficulties of life (hospital stays, bullying, deaths of relatives, etc)

3) Spider-Man: My favourite super-hero since I was a kid and even though he got bumped down to the 3rd place nowadays, there is no way he's going lower. Like many others, I could identify with Peter and this helped me a lot when I was left with no friends, or had to stand up when I was being bullied. I still get a smile on my face when I watch the first trilogy because it reminds me of somewhat happier times.

4) Doctor Strange: The thing I love about Strange is that he's this man of science and faith. Comics and literature usually have all scientific characters portrayed as men and women with no spirituality, and Strange is an extremely welcome exception to the rule.

5) Darth Vader: Vader was the first "tortured hero" that I was introduced to, and to this day I still find him a fascinating character. He was this bright hero who in his quest for peace commited hybris and was punished. Yet, he still managed to redeem himself.

6) Doctor Doom: Doom had the potential to be a great hero, yet, he chose to follow the path of billainy and that's what makes him so fascinating to me. He's a few steps away from being the best, but his ego doesn't allow him to make the neccessary sacrifices. Plus, I really like the fact that he's a just ruler and genuinely cares for his people. Most villains are portrayed as dictators, but Doom is usually written as a strict but just ruler.

7) Thanos: Thanos is a fascinating character because at one hand he's a murderous psychopath, but on the other he's saved the universe quite a lot of times as well. He isn't your classic mustache twirling bad-guy, he's got depth and quite a lot of layers.

8) Adam Warlock: Like Strange, Warlock is this being of both science and faith, since he was created by the High Evolutionary but became something akin to a god. Starlin's comics were a big factor in my love for ol' Adam.

9) Black Panther: T'Challa is a strange case. He's a king, he's a genius, he's a man of spirituality and he's got a bitchin costume. Truth is, the Panther is the epitome of coolness as a character and that's a major factor of why I like him, I can't lie. But I think the fact that he's a superhero king makes him much more interesting. There are many "rich-guy heroes" but how many are kings?

10) Silver Surfer: The Surfer's origin is one of the most tragic and if you actually think about it, he's got more blood on his hands than the worst of villains. Still, he strives to atone for his sins, plus, his philosopher persona is a quite nice break from the mold.

Honourable Mentions: Batman, Deadpool, Deathstroke, Boba Fett, Solid Snake, Big Boss, John Marston

In no particular order...

Indiana Jones
Han Solo
Arthur Dent (HGTTG Books)
Jack Torrence
Alex DeLarge
Frodo
Aragorn
Roy Batty
Darth Vader (OT)
A****aka (Princess Mononoke) guess youll have to fill in the blanks

Honorable mention...

Ash
Wall-E
Yoda (TESB)
Gollum
Homer Simpson
The Dude

Two great choices that completely slipped my mind when I wrote my list. :clap

You know, I don't know anything about Moon Knight. I've seen his picture, but I often forget he's a Marvel character, to the point that for a while I thought he was DC character, maybe because he reminds me of the Spectre. I'm going to read more about him.

You should start with the first 6 issues of the current Marvel Now! Vol. They were written by Warren Ellis and are hailed as some of the best issues of the year. If you like them, read the rest of this vol as well (written by Brian Wood). In April Cullen Bunn will take writing duties from 13-17. Anyway, after that you should read the first vol from the 80s and the 2006 run. These 3 are the must reads. After that there are:

1) Fist of Khonshu: Pretty good.
2) Vengeance of the Moon Knight: Quite great.
3) The 2011 Bendis run: A good overall comic, but a bad Moon Knight one.
4) Marc Spector-Moon Knight: Pretty dang good.

There are some more mini series, guest appearances and team books (Secret Avengers vol 1 and West Coast Avengers), but these are his solos.

Thanks!! :hi5: I will look for those books :duff

1. Son Goku (Dragon Ball-This is all because of Masako Nozawa. I don't like any other anime, so I probably won't hear any of her other performances, but her roles as the Son family males is the reason why she's my favorite actress. Seeing Goku's joyful and carefree attitude, is really appealing to me since I have OCD. One of my obsessions was working out to the point where anytime I went for a ride, I had to get in the back seat of the car to do crunches, or do pushups in the stall of a restaurant. Even when I was really ill in the hospital, I'd sneak into the bathroom so I could do exercises. I kind of relate to Goku in that way, and watching him, I changed that obsession into a fun hobby. Seeing Goku get brutalized so much and still retain his cheery disposition, helped me cope with the pain from my chronic illness. I know it's silly to take inspiration from a fictional character, but if it helped, it helped!

2. Batman- (Strange Apparitions, Year One, The Dark Knight Trilogy)-I prefer Batman being grounded as possible, but I like a little fantasy to spruce it up.

3. Big Boss (Metal Gear Solid Franchise)- The first character by heart broke for! Listening to codec conversations on my second playthrough made that scene hit even harder, such as when Big Boss tries to hide how nervous he was to make the Halo Jump. Unlike a lot of video game characters, he has a character arc that allows for further development in subsequent games. I loved how he was so naive to all the politics and pop culture, unlike his son, "Professor Solid Snake." Big Boss had his hobby as a gun nut and loved the sport of battle. I love how he sad he was in the codec conversations if you killed the bosses before the battle started. That is not Solid Snake! Pun intended. What we learned about his philosophies through Solid, Liquid, Psycho Mantis, Sniper Wolf, Frank Jaeger, Solidus, and MGS3 is enough to get him this high on the list. I don't understand why fans want him to become some mustache twirling villian, when Sniper Wolf compared him to Saladin and Gray Fox said that he believed in what they were doing. I know the cool thing is to hate on him, but I'm loyal to myself. Pun intended again! As soon as we learned that Solid and Liquid were clones, I couldn't wait to learn more about the "real Snake." Not only only are we going to see the character in his prime, but we got to grow with him starting from MGS3. Bring on MGSV! From playing MG2 and MGS, I was under the impression that Frank Jaegar kind of like his Tommy Hagen, and Big Boss was Vito Corleone, so I'm hoping for something like that!

4. Vegeta (Dragon Ball)

5. Michael Corleone (Godfather Trilogy)

6. Walter White (Breaking Bad)

7. The Joker (The Dark Knight Trilogy, The Killing Joke)

8. Homer Simpson (The Simpsons Seasons 1-8)- 1. American Bonehead 2. To Pull a Homer- to succeed despite idiocy.

9. Daredevil (Frank Miller, Brian Michael Bendis, Ed Brubaker)

10. Bane (Venom, Vengeance of Bane, Sword of Azrael, pre-Knightfall issues, Knightfall, Vegeance of Bane II, Legacy, Bane, Bane of the Demon, No Man's Land, Veritas Liberat) - Probably the most inspirational character for me as a kid. One of the best aspects of Bane is that he had a complete story arc and was one of the only villains where it made sense that he kept re-appearing. He was his own character and didn't need Batman in a story to be interesting. As evil as he was, I always had sympathy for him.
Here was my workout routine as a teenager, thanks to Bane:

I'm sorry if I wrote too much!

What I love about Big Boss is he starts as a weapon to be aimed and fired, a loyal soldier then becomes human and is turned into a villain by the mismanagement of the war industry

I'm only familiar with Moon Knight due to the Zen Studios Moon Knight pinball table which I absolutely love & feel is one of the best Marvel tables that Zen has done. Just going by that table he does look like a very cool dude.
