Toy Fair 2008: Overall opinions

Has this personally been a vintage year @ Toy Fair by sideshow for you or not. What are your own personal highlights/lowlights

Four words sum it up: Indy, Gandalf, Obi-Wan, Prometheus. The best Toy Fair yet! :chew

For SS it was a great TF! I do remember more cool stuff announced and showed from other companies in the past, not so much this year. Maybe it's just me.

Gotta agree with Batty on this one, this Toy Fair really had everything (and more than I could have wanted). And on the plus side there weren't so many items that I need to start selling bodily fluids.

But really the biggest surprise is the new bodies and that Sideshow will soon be kicking ass with their own armored figures!

This will be a Toy Fair long remembered, it has seen the beginning of an Armored Obi Wan and the promise of Prometheus!!!

I think Sideshow blew away other Companies!!!

I love all the releases, even though NO JOES!!! But SS has really set the Bar now!! Collecting just got harder and costly!

I chose indifferent. SSC showed some great stuff but technically they weren't there. The other companies didn't really wow me like in TFs past.

I'm a bit of a niche collector, so I haven't even remotley scratched the surface of what has been unveiled at TF, but here's what caught my attention:

NECA:
- Alien. That alone makes my year.
- Beetlejuice
- Conan

Amoktime:
- Elvira
- Lost in Space
- B movie monsters
- The day the earth stood still
Can you get any cooler than that?

SST:
- Indy
- Gandalf
- New body
- Armour

I'd call that pretty ****ing great!
