Yeah, I'd like the show a lot more if it had a less annoying host, and showcased people's collections rather than trying to get them to sell at all costs.

I thought a scalper was someone who ran around to all the stores buying up the rare figures to sell. This guy just buys people's **** off them. It's not like he's holding a gun to their heads. In this day and age, if someone's to lazy too chuck their stuff up on ebay, then you take what you get.

I know that it's no different than things like Pawn Stars but I have to laugh aloud when I hear him say how much something is worth, how much it would probably sell for and then give an offer that is really low. He did it a few times in that last couple of episodes.

This show is getting harder to watch, I like the toys themselves but Jordan himself isn't very likable, I find myself rolling my eyes more than anything else and I'm not sure what was/is with the multiple handshakes every time a deal is struck on every single piece.

The part where he talked about the Endor Speeder Bike and how it had to be won and could never be bought but then balked at the price was pretty humorous or the whole MediCom figure thing in the last episode where it was obvious that he'd never really bought a MediCom product or checked the going prices on those things even to what he was selling it for. It annoyed the hell out of me that he kept saying "Dark-Seed" instead of "Dark-Side" as the name is pronounced but that's just the nerd in me coming through.

If this was more of a collection style show where he looked at vast collections and informed about them I'd probably like it more but something about the concept sits weird and they need a more likable host, get Jordan to produce it or whatever but as a host he sucks.

I met this guy at Star Wars Celebration over the weekend. Really cool and nice. As annoying as he comes off he was nice and I dig the show for its entertainment value.

Nah, there's nothing "nerdy" about your post. These are all valid points and something as simple as simple as the pronunciation of Darkseid's name is something he should be familiar with if he's expecting to come across as an "expert." Whatsherface from Collection Intervention is more of an expert than this dude.

I started watching the show last week and I really enjoy it. I love it for all the memories and the "holy **** I had that!" moments.

The guys may be buying stuff of people to make a buck but I don't blame him at all. Though I often shake my head at the people selling there stuff for so low.
Then again for them it's a convenience thing, they want stuff gone, they get money, he makes a deal on it, everyone's happy. And if you saw the auction episode he doesn't always make money on everything.

Agreed, I just can't stand him. This show falls into the category of "Shows I watch in spite of hating the host", along with Diners, Drive Ins and Dives, and the skin-crawling Guy Ferry.

I've always liked this show. At least Jordan Hembrough loves what he's doing because he grew up with those toys in the '70s.

Love seeing all the old toys of my youth.

Watched this last night. Eh. Toys are cool enough, I guess.

Remarkably irritating host, though. The guys on American Pickers are a little irritating ... but this guy puts them away. His personality would fit better hosting a fashion show on Bravo or something rather than a toy show.
