It looks like those 3 silver lines inside the jet exhaust are rotated too far clockwise, as they just don't look straight.

Re: Toynami/Cinemaquette presents: BATWING & BATMOBILE.

Somebody over on the Cinemaquette forum posted that they got their Batmobile, but it was marred with scratches and paint blotches so it had to be sent back. I am really hoping this isn't the case with the one I have on order. :panic:

Re: Toynami/Cinemaquette presents: BATWING & BATMOBILE.

What lines?

Chris

They are rotated Clockwise.
The Passenger's side fin appears much higher than the driver's side, unless that is just the lens distorting the image. The car is parked on a hill, so the right side is higher of course, but the bottom of the car is higher by ten dots on the PAINT program, while the top of the fin is 21 or 22 dots higher.

Link me please
I wanna see the scratches and paint blotches

Re: Toynami/Cinemaquette presents: BATWING & BATMOBILE.

Thanks for the link.

This really makes me worry now.
Raf is lucky that his is perfect, hopefully I too will receive a perfect one.

I hate returning and waiting for replacements. That would suck majorly !

Re: Toynami/Cinemaquette presents: BATWING & BATMOBILE.

this does suck about those blotches , and scratches , I wish you all the luck Jed , I have asked for some pic, I would like to see them , as I feel that this thing does have that soft cloth looking thing that covers it and the paint can be easily scratched , but I feel that they must be very thin and soft surface and not deep which I think they can be hand buffed out with regular auto body buffing compound, maybe this is something you all should try befor dealing with the returns , I would , I know some will say with the price it shoiuld come perfect and I hear you , but boy if it can be taken care of by just buffing which is like puttin wax on a car why not, IMO again good luck everyone

If the defect is shallow enough to polish out, then that would be a preferable alternative to sending it back for replacement, however, your time and materials in doing so should be compensated for doing so. A discount from the company would be in order. Between $50-$150 I would say.

Re: Toynami/Cinemaquette presents: BATWING & BATMOBILE.

At my request, the dealer I have mine pre-ordered from is going to open the box and inspect it from top to bottom when they receive the shipment. They have already told me if it has any flaws it will be sent back by them so I don't have to deal with it. I'm just hoping it doesn't come to that.....no need for another Master Replicas Vader helmet type of debacle.

yes , agreed

Re: Toynami/Cinemaquette presents: BATWING & BATMOBILE.

Honestly that sucks if such problem still occurs. Apparently the huge delays on the Batmobile was all because of many errors that was detected way earlier this year and according to George, all inspections are made twice before the items get shipped out the customers to make sure there are no flaws and such.

I'm just curious how that defected one could pass inspections and QC at the first place.
Damn !!!

I better pray to almighty God that my Batmobile comes perfect the first time and I can avoid all hassles and returning it.
