I was thinking, after watching Transformers ROTF I realised something! Decepticons can be cloned! I was on wikipedia, I know not 100% reliable, and saw a article about Blackout in Transformers ROTF. I though he was just resurrected like Megatron or something. But it turns out that it was clone of him? A similar Decepticon that took exactly the same vehicle mode and same head and body. Link......

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grindor

It's more towards the bottom. His name is Grindor:confused:, and I don't know how to react! If they can just make doubles of Decepticons whats the point?!?

This thread can also be for theories and other info as well.....

I noticed something similar to Skynet Customs cloning question...

Near the end, when the the separate Constructicons are becoming Devastator, they are fighting Lennox and his team at the village/ruins too. I definitely saw the Cement-Truck and that large green dump truck, I believe his name is Long Haul. While at the same time they had formed Devastator and were on their way to the piramid

Are they clones too, or just a major plothole???

It's possible they took the form of the same vehicle, but then again it's Bay! I swear I saw Bone Crusher as well! In the desert scene at the end.

i couldn't tell one transformer from another in any scene except for bumblebee and optimus.
and that's exactly the way a transformers movie should be. them's the rules.

and i 2nd getting rid of the Even Stevens kid and making the whole movie about Megan Fox.

Yes you are right, I saw him too.
He came driving in in vehicle mode, although I assumed he was revived along with Megatron. I thought the same thing happened to Blackout too.

That would make more sense than cloning... I mean if they can clone the Decepticons, why not clone Devastator ten times, or Megatron for that matter...

i dont think it is meant to be a literal CLONE like in starwars, just as their similar and have the same vehicle form. i dont think there is a clone factory or anything

if that makes sense

Yeah it makes sense :)

I guess if a Decepticon proto-form would happen to scan the same vehicle as someone else was in part 1, then he would look the same. I figure they choose the most efficient way of transforming, so besides color and maybe the head there won't be much of a difference...

I just found this on wikipedia on the Constructicons being Devastator and fighting as "loose" robots at the same time:

Rather than being seven individual robots, the movie suggest there's seven character classes composing the Constructicons, as multiple copies of each are seen during the movie, sometimes displaying different coloring schemes.

So if I understand correctly, the Constructicons consist of classes, so there are more than one Dump Truck (for example), which just happens to look the same, albeit a slightly different color. :dunno

Yeah Wikipedia is using the wrong terminology. He simply took the same ALt mode so that hasbro could sell the Blackout toy again

I think we all know what is next. Gobots. :lol

well technically it isnt the devastators fighting "loose" cuz optimus killed one of them in the begining, so it was just another look alike, and the other one had a color change when he was fighting bee

I wondering why Devastator and the Constructicons where fighting at the same time. What a way to confuse us, even with the different colors too.

Yeah that's what I meant. I think I just said it with a poor choice of words

I've just read some more on Wikipidia and it seems that a couple of proto-forms chose to appear in the exact same way as other Decepticons in this film. So It is very confusing indeed! The Constructicons forming Devastator just happen to look the same (except for their color) as the ones fighting the soldiers. They are different ones, but just look the same apparently.
