Re: Transformers 4: The Search for More Money

Mark Wahlberg Officially Joins Transformers 4.

Following his previous post suggesting that Mark Wahlberg could wind up with a role in the upcoming Transformers 4, Michael Bay has made if official: Wahlberg has joined the cast of the June 27, 2014 release. What's more, Bay has also revealed the logo for the sci-fi adventure sequel along with a new logo for his upcoming Pain & Gain.

'Mark is awesome," Bay says in an official statement. "We had a blast working on 'Pain and Gain' and I'm so fired up to be back working with him. An actor of his caliber is the perfect guy to re-invigorate the franchise and carry on the Transformers legacy.'

Transformers 4 will begin production in spring of 2013. The film will be produced by Don Murphy & Tom DeSanto, Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Ian Bryce, and executive produced by Steven Spielberg, Bay, Brian Goldner and Mark Vahradian.

I didn't know he was rebooting his own series, but I really don't pay attention to these movies. Wahlberg is an interesting chose, I'm guessing maybe theres going to be a large gap of time between movies. :dunno

Re: Transformers 4: The Search for More Money

Not after what Hugo Doucher said. :lol

It's not like this series matters anyway. Use new robots. I don't care.

Re: Transformers 4: The Search for More Money

I really wanted them to focus on the robots more and go into the roots and mythology of the transformers universe, it just seems like more of the same. I like Marky Mark in some stuff but idk how this is going to work.

Re: Transformers 4: The Search for More Money

On Cybertron with the Transformers as fleshed out characters = Epic WIN

Bunch of unimportant Macho humans taking center stage with Transformers reduced to supporting props = BAYFAIL

He's the human hero? Not some child or teenager?

Rebooting meaning new story. Hence, the other 3 films probably won't exist in this "new" movie-verse.

My big question, will Optimus Prime be back and will Peter Cullen remain as his voice?

OMG, if they're actually totally rebooting have the damn robots look a little more G1. I would definitely be seeing this in the theatre if I see a commercial with recognizable Transformers, I don't care whos directing.

Everything still exists. Just different humans I think.

The reason new ideas are being introduced is because DOTM didn't sell enough merchandise. The aim of the new film will be to get parents/kids to buy the toys.

Re: Transformers 4: The Search for More Money

If Hasbro wants the movie to promote toys more than Victoria's Secret lingerie then they might want to, oh I don't know, consider a different director perhaps?
