Design/aesthetics everything is going to be different from previous movies and previous (ie cartoon versions)series; Bay cited merchandising money, at least the guy is honest if nothing else. Apparently they want everything new so no one feels they "already own" a version.

Truth. hasbro is blaming lackluster sales of movie toys on that.
I'm very currious , however, just how much redesigning we're going to see.

Also, they could drag in more comic references with Nova prime, galvatron, cyclons, and etc.

Nice article. I hope Paramount does reach out to him and do something nice for him given that they essentially copied 90% of the visual design.

However, taking the personal feeling and his attachment to his Camaro project, there's not much he can do. Camaro is a brand and property he doesn't own and neither does he own the rights to a "custom" design. Yes, he owns the car, yes he originated it all, but that unfortunately doesn't stretch legally much beyond there.

Imo a great basis for a TF movie would be the main plot of the Transformers Animated cartoon from a few years back.

The Autobots are just lowly reapir bots reparing a space bridge on an asteroid who stumble upon the lost allspark and are chased to earth and attacked by Decepticons.

It'll allow for a military hiararchy with Sentinel Prime and Ultra Magnus on Cybertron and the Earth squad proving themselves as capable warriors.

The group were also fleshed out great. Bumblebee and Bulkhead were the comedy relief but had alot of heart. Prime was the natural leader and soldier who got flushed down the ranks over a past mistake, Ratchet was the old war veteren bot with personality issues and Prowl was the former rebel turned focused ninjabot.

And there were no Military brahs and fake boob cameos shots clogging up the screen either

I love the way Bay was pedalling this as a re-boot of sorts when in reality, all we're seeing is a slightly upgrade vehicle mode for the Autobots and no Shia Le Bop.
I hate Bay.
