Just saw Jeremyjahns review. He ripped this film to shreds. It was one of his most interesting takes on a film I've ever seen. LoL. For me I wanted to see this. The tràiler looks great but will for now wait for Netflix . This will be the first film I miss this year that was on my must see list. To see this one after seeing XMDOFP, Edge of Tomorrow, 22JS, and HTTYD2, I know deep down I will be diss appointed . A Micheal Bay film. Will see Pota soon and GOTG. Woot I'm saving money

Being called the worst of the 4 everywhere.

can't be the worst of the 4. simply by virtue of not having the punch-worthy shia in it already makes it an improvement over the last 3. plus this one has no idiotic "comic relief" robots (except for one small robot who's not that annoying). actually the 1st one was still ok to me. it was fairly watchable. but the last 2... omg.

Viacom laughs at reviews:

Variety has a breakdown of the revenue generated by the first three films. Unsurprisingly, box office is a huge piece of the pie at $2.6 billion. But even bigger than ticket sales are the numbers for merchandising, which include toys, video games, apps and more. That figure comes in at a whopping $7 billion. Home entertainment sales account for another $740 million according to estimates. And none of those figures take into account the 50,000 riders per day that pay to take a spin on Transformers: The Ride, a 3D attraction featured at Universal Studios Orlando, Hollywood and Singapore.

Good god this movie was awful. Not worse than 3, but sadly not any better.

This movie is seriously long! Just when you think it's ending, Bay hits you with another hour....this happens like 3 times.

Oh, also, I counted 11 American flag scenes in the movie. Most exciting part :)
Could be a drinking game when released on BluRay

Bring on the BR :rock :lol

Oh well, going Saturday night, I know I'm probably in denial, but the graphics look sharper and the cast improvement has me hopeful. Do I think it's going to be great?
No, I've thought it would be Bay crap from the start, but I gotta have faith that it will be better than the others.

just watched transformers: age of extinction at a special preview screening tonight. i'll say this much, it is an improvement over the last two godawful instalments. not by a huge stretch though. at four movies in, this is pretty much what you'd expect from a michael bay-directed transformers. the action is relentlessly loud and overwhelming, and the script is once again stuffed with atrocious dialogue and nonsensical plot ideas that are introduced just to justify the existence of certain characters (eg: dinobots) but ultimately don't matter in the end. people who enjoyed the first 3 will enjoy more of the same, while those who couldn't stomach the series would be well-advised to stay clear of this.

the upside is, mark wahlberg makes a much more likeable lead than the irritating shia laBeouf and bay seems to have listened to (some of) the criticism of his previous work, making for a (slightly) more coherent viewing experience. the action scenes generally feature more wide shots and less fast cuts, meaning you can actually see what's happening most of the time. kelsey grammer and stanley tucci add some shades and colour to the human cast, and the transformer and human deaths shown onscreen make you feel like there's real danger this time. at least, that's how it comes across early on. sadly, by the time the assault-your-senses finale kicks in, any remaining feeling of peril and concern for the protagonists are bludgeoned out of you. it's overkill upon overkill and after a while it's just tiring. not to mention the non-stop and in-your-face product placements get really annoying.

i cannot honestly say this is a "good" movie, but it does have its moments here and there. if you're just looking for a mindless noisy distraction for 2hrs40mins then this is just the right thing.

Please tell me that Wahlberg's daughter (I think) isn't a slimy bimbo.

Unfortunately its being said that the CGI is actually much worse than from the previous 3. :(

Looks like 3 was tops for effects.

As an ID4 invasion movie, sure, as an actual Transformers flick, no.

That's weird, cause some of the new characters like the green car look pretty cool in the previews. Oh well, hopefully Optimus gets to yell Yeehaw while barebacking a Dino bot :lol

Just saw it. Worst of the 4, easily. Crap story, characters, writing, and acting. Bay really amped up the Bay-isms and that's not a good thing. Save your money on this one. Even TMNT looks like it will beat this one, and be more accurate to the source material.

What a pile of *** even for a bay movie. Nothing made sense, I feel my IQ going down every min of the 2.5 hours watching that horror.

And I liked the first 3 transformers...

I quite enjoyed this myself. I felt it played out a bit like the others so I felt like it was in that same vein of why I enjoyed it. I do wish the Dinobots were in it more but their Dino modes were pretty sweet. I also liked Primes new look and that I think John Goodman voices one of the others. It's a long movie but as I said I had a good time with it.

nah, nicola peltz is not as bad as megan fox or rosie huntington-fishface. she's portrayed as a regular-ish girl with daddy issues. but she does have a few short shorts in a couple of scenes, though wahlberg's character calls her out on it.

I just read that Shia LaBeouf was arrested yesterday in Manhattan for intoxicated disorderly behavior.

Someone said he had commited an Optimus Crime. :lol
