Nope. In line and got a family emergency call. Two days in a row something bad happened as we tried to see this thing, I'm done with it until it lands for home viewing. Damned cursed flick. :lol

My problem isn't with realism, I'll take the new looks only if the films themselves were made worthy of the change. The transformers films can be so much better, look at the X-men films, we have great ones, DOFP, First Class, X2, and really bad ones, X3, Origins W. Even the Batman films. Right now we are getting X3 level of bad for these films but no really knows it because they don't know the source material and how full of life and opportunity the Transformers world is. We can get Batman Begins and DOFP kind of films from Transformers but it will most likely never happen because of the writing and directing team the series has. The Xmen films have been put back on track because Bryan and Simon actually care about telling a great story, not selling big action scenes.

Is strange reading your example for the X-Men/Transformers movies. You say that the writing and directing team doesn´t know the source material and that's why we will never get a good movie, full of life and opportunity. And then you put Bryan Singer as an example of good storyteller. Ehmm.... excuse me, but did you read any x-men comics? Bryan Singer is the worst thing that can happen to the franchise, and he is back..... DOTF is one of the best comics out there, and the movie doesn´t even get close to the awesomeness of the comic. Singer made a movie for the random fan of the movies... not for the fan of X-Men. Besides he doesn't know the characters and the universe... And this is no news, he told this himself by the time of X1 or X2.. maybe now he know a little bit more, but forget it that he is at the same level of, for example, Whedon.
you can put Transformers on a "similar" scale here... the overall people that goes to the theaters love this flicks.. these are pure bull**** but people consume it.... What can we do? =/

Wrong. Dystopian future ruled by sentinels and time-travel back to stop Mystique enacting an assassination that brings about the dystopia. The movie is different from the comic as it had to be to fit the movieverse but the story is excellently translated

:lol

Is this guy serious? I mean doe Tessa's boyfriends really carry around a copy of a law to prove he's not a rapist?

Man, that review is great. I kinda want to see it myself.

Last Transformers I saw was the second one I think. The one with the two stereotypes, the transformer chick and the transformer with balls. I remember leaving the theater and as the audience was pouring out, literally everyone was on their phones. Then some dude yelled that Michael Jackson died and everyone was talking about it.

People can argue why the movies suck all day long. Calling folks names because they like something you don't will get posts deleted. Cheers :duff

But it's about giant robots fighting each other, right?

BARELY. Seriously, the giant robots account for less than 20% of the films screentime, which runs nearly three hours. Things happen in this movie, but no story is told — no more than a high school graduation "tells a story." Things happen; eventually the ceremony closes. That is all. Do you know what TF4 screenwriter Ehren Kruger said?

that's all I needed to know.......

I can understand people defending awesome mindless violence (Hell, I can't wait to see Ninja Turtles)

But why are people online (like IMDB) defending 20% of action in a 3 hour movie??? :cuckoo: that seems bizarre. I want to check this movie just to see the Dino Bots when it comes to DVD but I dont want to sit through 2 hours of pure human nonsense....
