I cant see how anyone can hate TF. Its simple, mindless, and FUN. I'm getting better at the whole..."hey, its cool, its just your opinion", but man! The movie is just too fun to hate. And if you hated it, then you really did not know what you were watching.
I don't hate it. And it is "fun". It's okay. It's just nothing special. At all.

And how can anyone not know what they're watching with TRANSFORMERS? This is the simplest stuff in the world. It's the easiest formula ever: Giant robots fighting in between scenes of 1-dimensional cardboard human characters spurting bad dialog in the form of teen angst, racial stereotyped humor and generic gung-ho action barks. :lol

I have nothing against these movies... and I'll see this one and have a good time. I just don't understand how so many people get this excited over it. To me, it would be like looking forward to the next meal at McDonald's as if it's Thanksgiving Dinner. :lol

Maybe it wasnt directed at you then...but some people were REEEEEAAAALLY expecting a great story, with good character development.....:lol

Its Bay, seriously. The guy's the best action director working today....and nothing else. When he trys to make a serious drama film......

Well, then God bless those poor folks. :lol Of course, I suspect that there are also actually people out there who think we did get that with TRANSFORMERS. :google

And I had almost forgotten about that movie, too... :banghead

You're right, though. Ironically, Bay would have been a much better choice for G.I. JOE... because he at least has the military stuff down pat.

Sometimes I want a high class stake, medium rare, the best of the best. But other times, I just want a big, fat juicy hamburger that may not be so classy, but is still pretty damn delicious. Transformers is a hamburger, just like any other big summer action blockbuster. :) And it was one of the best damn hamburgers I've ever had!:lol

Just saw the teaser and I thought it looked quite good
Is there another Trailer going to be released soon?

I love the first movie, but I personally thought the new trailer was pretty lame.

Pfft. You're no fun.

Maybe if I had some kind of nostalgic connection with Transformers, I might have enjoyed it (I'm the guy who enjoyed Spiderman 3 and Ghost Rider,) but the original Transformers was before my time (I had Beast Wars,) so I wasn't in a rush to see it in theaters. I did however catch in on HBO, and found it pretty bad.

To me, the first Transformers personified the loud, dumb CGI filled action flick. It looks good, and I admire the work put into it, but at the end of the day, it's just the world's most expensive toy commercial with Shia Labouf.

I'm with you, as far as being a trailer, it's pretty meh, not much indicated about story, just a lot of quick teases of the robots. The trailer makes you feel the robots will look cool and some of the action looks nice, but there's very little substance to gauge the movie on yet.

Its only a teaser, not a full trailer.
