I'm torn on this. I saw it today but I freely admit I was WAY too tired to be watching it. I LOVE the first movie, simple and fast paced with badass Transformers. I have to admit to being BORED with #2. It was way too long and way too many human characters. And why so many mini cons? And they all have to be comic relief? Jetfire as an old bot who farts? By the time they got to Jetfire I kinda just wanted it to end. And the end battle by the pyramids just seemed to drag to me. I wanted more robot on robot battles, it just seemed to me Bay focused too much on the humans versus Decepticons and the stupid twins versus Devastator.

I did like that Starscream had more screentime and was actually more along the lines of his character from the cartoon and the comics. Also even though he didn't do much, Soundwave was kind of cool. And the fact he shot Ravage out of his chest down to Earth rocked!

I'm seeing it again tomorrow with some fellow nerds so I may enjoy it more (and get some more SLEEP!)

I went to the midnight show Tues and I was very impressed with the turnout. There were 4 screenings completely sold out. The movie was really good. My only gripe: some scenes had too much action going on with robots and debris flying everywhere it was kind of hard to follow what all was going on

For everyone who keeps asking why there's a female Terminator in the movie, she's a Pretender. I'm suprised they threw in something obscure like that, but it was those geeky nods to the fans that I loved the most about this movie.

loved, loved, loved this movie. I won't get into the "bad" movie "good" movie discussion because undoubtedly everyone's opinion will be different and just because I loved it does not mean you need to love it too. I will say though it's getting really old hearing from folks who state that "Bay is destroying the transformers lore", You want G1? Go watch the freakin toon. The movie and the toon are two totally different animals. Get over it.

You were impressed with four completely sold out? Mine had 13 completely sold out.

This from the guy that jerks it to Twilight. :lol :D

How can you think the movie sucks? You haven't seen it! You are basing your opinion on the negative comments, not the good ones.

Apparently there is a reading problem. First off, when did I say that this movie sucks? I never said that. Not once.

Second, actually after my second viewing of the Twilight movie. I thought that it was just meh. Do get the facts straight.

My fanboy comment was perfectly proved just by your apparent retort. You didn't even bother to read what I posted. You just reacted to what you thought you read. Go back, read it again. :peace

My point was any heavily mixed review movie I simply can't afford to see in the theater. I will wait for the DVD and use my NetFlix that I pay good money to have. That is my way of doing things. It works for me.

Loved the first movie. Didn't dig this one.

Story was very muddled with plot holes galore, action was too much in your face (couldn't tell what was going on half the time), humour was too over the top... at one point i was so bored that i started analyzing Prime to see what kind of paint I needed to repaint mine.

Things I liked: Prime, some of the cinematography, Starscream, and I actually thought the twins were hilarious.

I really wanted to like this but just couldn't get into it. All the power to those who did!

Speaking of Bumblebee, why was he still not able to talk? Wasn't he talking at the end of the first one? They couldn't fix his voice after two years?

And speaking of voices, was Megan Fox's voice that high in the first movie? It sounded like she was on helium in this one.

Labeef says in passing that he's "playing it up" when Fox asks about it.

Yeah, basically, it's just completely arbitrary.

Best thing was the forest battle--the fighting looked really really good, like real people fighting, but with giant robots.

There's some stuff they could have taken out without hurting the film and they really should have (like the terminator robot, or Jon Tuturro's ass). But there's still a lot of really cool stuff going on. I didn't have problems keeping track with what the robots were doing.

That was referring to the "crying" and the "snot" at the news of being left behind. Its definitely a plothole that he could speak at the end of it, he has stayed with Sam for the entire two years not chasing and fighting Decepticons and suddenly can't speak again. Even in the heart to heart with Sam in the abandoned house he used the radio instead of actually talking.

I could've sworn he says that in response to her question about BB's voice, but yeah, I'll not claim to accurately quoting that mile-a-minute dialogue with any certainty.
