I just read this on a Dutch Movie news site. Not sure if it already has been posted, but here you go :)

Seems like Ramon Rodriguez, who played Leo Spitz will have a bigger part in Transformers 3. Not sure if I'm that happy with it though...

Director Michael Bay has a third "Transformers" film in mind, and if it plays out as he expects, the next installment would have a more substantial role for Rodriguez. The filmmaker, speaking at his office a few weeks before "Revenge of the Fallen" was released, seemed to have some pride of discovery when talking about Rodriguez.

"I've worked with big stars, people like Will Smith, Sean Connery and Bruce Willis, but casting is a weird thing, it takes you places you don't expect," Bay said. "We went looking for a sidekick in this movie, Shia's sidekick, and we find this new kid who really pops on screen. I think he’s going to have a real bright career. It's great to work with big stars, but it's always fun to discover people."

Here's an article about the 10 most confusing things in Revenge of the Fallen.

I also noticed that Sam and his parents apparently drove across the country from their home to his new college in one afternoon and/or without changing their clothes.

Now, as to why a piece of the Allspark that killed Megatron when inserted into his chest would bring him back to life when inserted into his chest...

How do you know it was far away? What told you that? It could've been 45 minutes away.

The allspark taketh, and the allspark givith.

Megatron was killed by having all of the power of the Allspark send into his body. On the ocean floor he was repaired/upgraded, and the Allspark shard was used to create a concentrated burst of energon that would retrieve his Spark and revive him.

I don't think they ever say where Sam's family lives (I always figured CA) but Mikaela (spelling?) asks him how he's going to handle the "east coast winters."
So they don't live near the east coast and it's warm during the winter.

Yeah I remember that scene and I was a little confused cause I thought I saw the decepticons turn on one of there own, wack him! Did i see that right?? And what was the purpose? So they could use his parts same as Jet fire?

I believe so. By getting the parts from their weakest one, they could rebuild Megatron. That's probably also why he now transformed into a Cybertronian tank, instead of a Jet, because of the new parts he got from the destroyed Decepticon.

Well....they dont say where they live exacly.....

But its far yes, but it could only take a few hours. When I rode cross country, I didnt change my cloths....:monkey3

When Mikayla is on the phone she said that she booked a flight and would be there in a few hours. She even goes through Southwest to get there and mentions to Sam that she went cross country to save his life and he was cheating during the Isabel Lucas scene.

These two are the ones that really got me scratching my head.
1. In "Transformers," there was this giant battle in the middle of downtown Los Angeles -- excuse me, Mission City -- that was witnessed by thousands of people at the very least. But somehow the government was able to cover up the whole thing, and now the existence of alien robots is just an internet rumor? How did they do it? Pay off everyone who was there and quickly fix millions of dollars in damage? Also, didn't Keller (Jon Voight) go on TV and tell everyone we were being attacked by "a technological civilization far superior to our own"? How did they spin that?

2. There are two pieces of the Allspark cube left: the military has one under lock and key, and Sam discovers another. The Decepticons steal one and bring Megatron back to life. But when Sam (Shia LaBeouf) wants to bring back Optimus, he has to find the Matrix of Leadership on the other side of the globe. Why not use the other piece? Mikaela (Megan Fox) has it in her backpack the whole time. It brought his kitchen appliances to life, why can't it do the same for Optimus?

Sam in "fallen" heaven is even dumber

How is that stupid? He had a preminition(sc?) by being in contact with the Allspark; he didn't actually go to heaven. Just a result of having the Allspark
'downloaded' into his head and having the Allspark with him (according to the novel the Allspark left his head to repair the Matrix as well).

Could it have been handled better? Of course it could have. But they didn't pull it out of nowhere (every show/comic had a moment like that so it was justified), and a ton of movies do it too.

These two are the ones that really got me scratching my head.

1. In a scene either never filmed or cut from the movie, Sam is watching TV as he's packing, where there's a news report on the lawsuits against this company still going on. It's a robotics company (prolly a faux one set up by Sector 7), who lost control over some of their new prototypes, which then proceeded to rip through LA/Mission City.
Other then that there's probably the large amount of people being paid off to keep quiet, like the Witwicky family.

2. They had to run almost immediately, and were then chased around! Even if they would have sought out the other Autobots, the government would have taken them prisoner and not allow them to even get CLOSE to Prime. That, and they probably didn't even KNOW that they could use it, and even if it could it might not have enough energon to keep Prime going AND repair him (Megatron had to be repaired before being revived with a much larger shard that held more energon).

Honestly, I only noticed a few of those things and none of them bothered me. The whole time I was watching I felt like I was watching one of those week-long story arcs from a cartoon series. I don't know why but this one hit a chord with me that the first didn't and I was much more willing to forgive the really silly stuff.

Aren't the answers to questions like that always "A wizard did it" ?

Loved the movie! I wish Barricade would have had a part in this one and that the Decepticons would fare a little bit better than just fodder for the special forces and autobots. They seemed a lot more menacing in the first film. Hopefully Soundwave will have a bigger role in the next film.

Barricade was in the film for about...5 seconds I think. Isn't he the Decepticon that grabbed Sam's parents in France? Sure looked like him.

I saw it tonight with a couple buddies. We all liked it and I'll be getting it on Blu-ray when it comes out.
